Honstly I first heard about it, not so long ago, and now they have made a realease date. 29 sep.

and judging from the ingame images, it looks a like Hegemony gold: wars of ancient Greece, and that game was great, BUT some how failed to be better, + crappy diplomacy. (long story short).

And Weird greyjoy is not one of the houses in the game?

and here is a link: http://www.agot-genesis.com/index.php?rub=news

So what do you guys think of this game.

Well im going to say im abit suprised and still pretty early in the game, so it a more or like a "first hour gameplay review", so plz take that into hand.

well to start out about the postive part of the game, is that the fiefs system is pretty good and hard to keep under control, you have to send out some envoys to get it under you rule and the enemy will try different underhand tactic against it, and there is a lot.
the graphic is pretty to look at, and the art is freaking pretty to look at
the skirmish map is nice fast flowing in the game, and it works nice with the "war timer"

and some negative things, well the combat is kinda a mess, but it works.
You cant a conquer the enemys main castle.
the westros map is not big enough.
the lack of more diplomacy with the greater houses ( marrige, attack some one and secret ally stuff)

Well to sum it all up its a pretty fun game, and im properly going to check out multiplay later on.
but its a game there have potential, but they have to used it completely, and its not like hegemony at all.
But I do have my fun in it, the singleplayer campaign is long (ca. 40 mission)
I would recommed it if you are looking for a different RTS, but if you are looking for a fast pacing close combat blood and gore, when wait for totel war westeros 1,0.

I will add more later on, and you are more when welcome to ask me to look into something special in the game.
but I hope this will help abit

    and oh yeah 7/10

I'll buy it because it's Westeros, despite having absolutely no faith in the idea of the game

If it was to be a Crusader Kings/Total War blend, I would play it.

It actually looks pretty nice. I havent played a Age of Empires style RTS in a long time. Maybe this might be fun.

After all, what are the chances of 1.0 being released before the end of the month?

I think I just don't like a continent "the size of South America" being represented in this way (being able to see the Eyrie from Highgarden)

Yeah they must sacrifice small cities or keeps, kinda sad if you ask me.
But my biggest fear is that it might will be rushed out (29sep. saw the trailer at e3)

i hate the small forces in this, it loses the epicness of ASOIAF's huge battles. i'd still buy it just so that westeros TW will seem even better when it is finished . at least it isn't in the same time period as WTW so they won't clash much

True the 8 man unit is kinda creppy small, as I compared it with hegemony (which had each hoplite unit at 50 men) and that was trully hard to make a good battle line, becouse of the many neckpoints in greece, SO I kinda get the point off just making small unit, and pretend its 800 men instead.

I hope you will get what im saying ^^

ye ye. i suppose its all about how certain people interperate how to make and show the game in the most effective way. I hope they at least think of complex stats and game play rather than the typical boring, spear beat horse beat infantry beat spear archer beat infantry but suck against cavalry, like battle for middle earth

True, I like what they did in MTW II, where it was a bonus the spearmen got, not that swissors, stone and machine gun thing, like in shogun 2.

and Edric: what are you saying =D I dont really get it =)

    Allow me to reiterate.
A Game of Thrones: Gensis should be thrown to the Drowned God, hurled from the Wall, flayed in the Dreadfort, shown the Moon Door, stabbed in the back, poisoned at a feast and killed a thousand deaths by fire and sword.

Shields and swords will win you wars -
But in the end, the battle's for our hearts are fought by bards

Let's not feed it to the direwolves yet. I don't expect much of it either, that way i can only be pleasantly surprised if something good (any small thing) comes out of it. I read the descriptions and the news and the ideas they present are quite original, not sure how the AI will respond to the ideas but we'll see.

Just like everyone who has even an ounce of faith in it, I say it's better'n waiting around these forums for 1.0 to be released. We all know that ain't hppening this year, but we all want to believe it will

thats more or like my point of view

Hmm not really stroghold and EE had base building focus in them.
So its look a like Hegemony, but Im not sure how the fight mechanic will turn out.

But I must say that agot-genesis got far better textures when stronghold 2 (sadly enough)
