Corruption

Is there any way to prevent corruption? It's nearly crippling... Right now in my Carthage campaign my income is about 160,000 a turn and my corruption is 36,000.... My army takes up another 40-50k and wages I think are around 10k, but I'm not sure. I end up with only 30,000 Denarii to spend each turn on 50 different settlements which isn't a lot when you are spending 3,200 or more per building.

Spend a lot of money. Recruit units and ships every turn.

You have to end the turn with less than 50.000 denarii. If nothing else helps, gift your money to another faction.

50,000 actually. You need less than that in your starting treasury next turn, although it's inevitable you will go way above that after a while. If you're desperate, use add_money -40000

Sorry. It is still kinda confusing, in german we say:
50.000 denarii (meaning 50,000)
and 50,00 denarii (meaning 50 denarii)
