    Default Minor regions

First of I'd like to say that I am enjoying this mod greatly and I am some 60ish turns in on my first playthrough. Since I haven't finished a game there is a chance that my thoughts here are moot. In that case, please ignore this

I do like the concept of minor regions, but I feel that there could be so much more to them. there are a few thins I see as major flaws with them.

Firstly, stone walls? Wouldn't it be more appropriate with at the most a wooden palisade?
Secondly, no recruitment. Not even spies?
And thirdly, there's not that much to build. It would be nice if there could be at least one economic growth thingie to build. So that you could give your minor regions a theme of their own.

Just some random ideas about minor regions.

I do love the little bonuses you find in some though like the mint and the elephant herd near Pella. It makes them key settlements to take and hold.
They are good for putting garrisons in, especially in mountainous areas where there are narrow choke points and enemy AI has no choice but to throw themselves against you're walls

I do however believe, that really minor towns should only have pallisades or no fortifications at all. Small and poor settlements didn't have the money and manpower to construct walls of stone or brick. And minor towns should change hands often. There were not many powerful fortresses in the ancient world (unlike the medieval ages).

Actually I kind of agree. From a gameplay point of view that is. The original concept was not to have any walls at all. That way you'd pretty much have to defend them in the field. I think it is fair to say that the inclusion of (stone) walls is sacrificing gameplay to realism. We may call these regions "minor", but some actually weren't that small at all.

Especially on Sicilly, where every town basicly has a stone wall That place is intended to be a siege fest

Damn. Sicily was hard. Till I brought in the Hestati and the Principes. Then it was a Charthaginian and Greek slaughterhouse
