Default Which version is the "lightest"?

    Dear SS Forum readers!
Unfortunately SS 6.4 turn times are too long for me, so I can't enjoy gameplay properly.
I got offical version of Kingdoms 1.5 so my question is, which client is more "playable and lighter" ?
The original 4.2 is too old and I want to play with Kingdoms so 5.1 or 6.1 is better in your opninion?
    My config is down here:

    Thank you for your answers!

LOL you're seriously complaining about 1 minute turn times? Dude it's only 60 freaking seconds! Enjoy the extra depth of gameplay that SS provides and use that time to contemplate how much better SS is over vanilla.

Lol...I remember one of the RR/RC things took me a few minutes at least once the game got going...1 minute makes me pretty happy. And besides, it seems with 6.4 I can alt-tab instantly and it'll keep running in the background which makes me supremely happy.

A minute is long time for wait times, especially if you compare it to vanilla load times

That's like comparing the Encyclopaedia Britannica with "My First Fact Book". One takes much longer to read, but you get much more out of it.

I had about 1.30-2.00 min turns, and it didn't bothered lot. Now I have new PC so no more that problem. Your time is not a big...

Right now my turn times are about 2.5-3 minutes. And I actually find them quite fast.
When I first installed SS, my turn times were about 10-12 minutes each ( it had something to do with where I installed M2TW).

My turn times are like 10-15 seconds. I can't imagine having a freaking 2 minute turn time.

Yes it does. SS is much more detailed than vanilla. The trade off is that it takes a bit longer to get through but you get a much more from it.

I think SS(6.4 at least) is a lot like an American car, you just throw a huge engine in there, but Vanilla (and SS6.1) is like a European car, small engine but it's made nice and neat and runs smooth and fast

But i understand the fact that a long turn time is just a small price to pay for a big piece of cake. Maybe the modders could make a version of SS with a little less stuff for people with little patience (like me), call it SS turbo or something

I like watching all the factions units wander about so I can keep track of the game. What is 2-3 min after an hour or more of fiddling about with your units fighting a skirmsh etc or much more if you throw in a big seige. I really dont see the issue but that because I am not a teenager I suppose?

Yeah my basic point was vanilla turn time (which is 15 sec for me).
I want to reduce it to ~30 sec.

i run mine on a 2007 laptop with 80/180gb used space and it usually takes me about 30-40 seconds which is pretty similar to other submods such as DLV or KGCM, though i did delete the princesses, heir and king notifications, aswell as the seige upkeep
