    Default How come I can run this no problem?

    Just started playing Dead Island 2, and I realized something; for a open world game with the highest setting on.. how come it isn't lagging? Yet when I play a game graphically similar to Dead Island(example: Arma 2) I start to lag once I put the settings on high. Anyone know the reason for this?

    Edit: I get about 20 - 25 FPS with Dead Island 2 on high settings, on Arma 2 I get 8 - 10 FPS on medium settings.

    Arma is a cpu whore on top of that arma has far greater view distances, to the point dead island isnt even close in that department,

    view distance is what kills frame rate in arma 2

    According to the System Requirements Lab my CPU and video card failed on both the minimum and recommended settings. Despite this I can actually play on high video settings. Very fun game although the games release has been marred by some silly mistakes on behalf on the publisher (releasing the dev version complete with noclip) and at the moment there is a LOT of rage on the Steam forums. The game runs perfectly for me though and it's a blast!
    I may not be the sharpest tool in the box, but at least I'm in the box!
