No I think you have to destroy them but I'm not 100% certain on that.
Yea pretty sure destruction is neccesary.
I tried this in a Scottish campaign with England as my vassal and could not get victory conditions without wipping them out.
Yeah as a minority religion I hate destroying others of my kind be it Muslim or Orthodox, however I love using them because I don't have to deal with the Pope, or well I deal with him, just that once he's dealt with that's all there is to him...
How do you make someone become your vassale? Like conditions?
Actually, you "only" need to outlast them. You could bribe everyone to attack them, then when they are no more, reclaim those lands.
Yes
A little digresion here.. Does anybody know if it's posible to make a faction vassal from the start, with some text editing? I know there is "at war with" command, but is there a "vassal" command?
AFAIK there is really an option for vassals from the start but it doesnt work. I read it somewhere in this forum. Experts might know more.
Maybe its possible to script it after turn 1...

What are benefits of having a faction your vassal??? Would it be better just to take all there cities?
You get a chunk of money from them each turn.
Can you command them to attack a faction? Sounds like there just mercenaries then that own a castle lol I would rather destroy them and get all the incomes and not just a chunk of it![]()
