Ever had a faction destroy another?

Yeah thats pretty much it in my current english campaign the HRE was destroyed by a coalition of me(I took one region) France and Denmark and Milan. France then proceeded to take every single region Milan and Denmark took and gained them as vassals(pretty epic for frenchmen), it lost denmark later but still) Spain proceeded to singlehandedly take out Portugal, as well as the Moors( I stole those regions later)

In my campaign as France, Moors destroyed Portugal, and in my Britannia campaign, the English killed the last Family member of Scotland.

I've had HRE owning all of italy including Rome, Denmark with poland and Russia's lands, and many other crazy situations.

In most of my games the AI destroys some faction. It's usually Scotland and England destroying one another, the Holy Roman Empire and Milan or Venice, the Sicilians and the Byzantines, the Turks and the Byzantines, and the Moors-Portugal-Spain trio.

In my last game as Scotland, I added the Saxons to the campaign map, and I played in a "watch" style, as in, observing the events without intervening. The Saxons surprisingly killed England, the French killed the HRE almost singlehandedly, Portugal killed Spain and now shares half of the Iberian Peninsula with the Moors. The Pope killed Sicily, Milan killed the Pope and Venice, and is now killing France.. and Russia and the Mongols are killing Poland (who always conquers all of Russia except Novgorod, and then looses it all back).

wow, I was about to say "well isn't it obvious that the AI factions will destroy each other in a campaign!? I mean ...duhh", but come to think of it ... yes, it's pretty rare to see them pwn each other like they did in Rome(Thracia,Dacia,Macedon,Gaul,Seleucids very often get destroyed) ... except maybe for HRE who always gets gangbanged by its neighbours

Portugal usually gets destroyed in all my campaigns. Besides that, there are no factions constantly falling. I've seen Milan, Sicily, and even Byzantium get destroyed by the AI, but that's just once.

In darth mod, i happens all the time on h/h or vh/vh.

Some factions never seem to get destroyed by the ai -- like russia , because they can slip away into distant corners of the map, or Egypt who usually becomes a very powerful faction.

I often see 2-4 factions destroyed by AI by the time gunpowder has been invented. Often too, the aI has reduced a faction to only one settlement-- and these factions are basically as good as destroyed.

lol France did that to Milan one time, but it was funny cause Milan somehow still managed a good income, a decent 1 and a half stack army that somehow grew, as well as expanding their city, somehow at the last turn they had a good 3 stack army with decent late-game units, from one city.

I had once the moors taking over spain, then france, then britain, and at Italy they were too late - I already was there.

Milan usually spreads like a cancer in my experience, but Venice survives on Crete and they don't go after Sicily for some reason, i've seen them take out France and HRE

Well the Timurids pretty much wiped out the entire Middle east and Russia in my most recent campaign.

Well no one has been destroyed yet, but the Papal States have taken the whole of southern Italy (i didn't realise they were that aggressive) and has isolated Sicily on.....Sicily. Im Venice by the way

Sicily and the papal states go at it quite a lot, likely because Sicily really doesn't have a lot of choice but to go through them. The pope usually isn't very aggressive otherwise.

One time when I was playing as England.. The Papal States completely took oer all of northern Italy, France, and was expanding east towards Poland after wiping out HRE. I was glad I was on an island.. It was crazy.

Wait a minute. Seleucids? I never fought them in medieval 2. Didn´t know they exist
