    Default Can not start campaign.

Strange problem occurring when I want to play this mod. Install went just fine. Start up is fine, I can browse the entire menu and change settings. Then I press campaign and select the BI version (as that's the one I'm running) and then the speech starts, just like it supposed to be. In the bottom I select the line that says 'click to start', it turns yellow so it is selected and then I press the arrow on the right to start. But it wont start and gives me a message, it tells me to select an item from the list. Which is selected as it's yellow, I click many times, de-select, select, etc. but nothing changes.

Maybe I should mention that I did change the video settings before trying the campaign, everything to high and I also adapted the resolution. Don't see how that can cause this though but don't want to miss out anything.

Now the stuff that doesn't seem right (apart from the fact I can't start the actual campaign). I can't make screenshots in the game and when I exit the game I get an error. Screenshot of that below.

Running a DVD version of Rome: Total War and Barbarian Invasion, no other mods installed. OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

Launcher, all settings correct from my eyes.

The error, something wrong with the install maybe?

    Thanks!

Your start date is probably wrong. Compare the file specified in the error to this one. The start Date in mine is 853 Summer

Thanks, I'll see what changing does. First have to go to work though

I'm fairly sure that you get that message when the R:TW BI install is corrupted somehow.

Before you install any mod make sure that the underlying game runs OK.

Alright, many thanks for reading/posting/thinking but I took Brusilov's advice and simply re-installed the whole bunch and didn't even bother with BI again. Runs great. Even killed Hannibal

I'm fairly sure they did. As already posted we suggest that the mod be installed on a working copy of R:TW (or R:TW / R:TW BI or R:TW / R:TW BI / R:TW Alex).

The underlying game must work for the mod to work.

Also by taking a copy of the R:TW install and using that for the mod means you would not have to uninstall - just delete the corrupted copy and then copy it again and use that for the mod.

Anyway, OPs problem has been resolved.
