    Default Aulus's Campaign speech

Fellow people of Rome, these are dark days. An ex-Consul has been proven a traitor, Rome is surrounded by enemies and many bad omens have been observed. It is the people who suffer because of this.

Instead of recognizing this, certain senators, my opponent among them, would rather sate their blood thirst. In order to do so they are determined to place their puppet Imperious in the position of your protector, the fact that he has already served two terms in this position doesn't seem to bother them!

But Aulus, you may say, Imperious has never used his powers in the Senate.
True, but he has damned you by his inaction, which is far more vile and cowardly. While I have worked constantly to keep taxes down in both the posts of Quaestor and Tribune, Imperious has advocated keeping standing Legions. Ask yourselves is this the actions of a protector?
