Hi guys, just wanted to get you're thoughts on the cost of building ships. I believe the upkeep is balanced but i think that the cost it takes to construct a vessel should be more expensive. This is because it was an expensive buisness building navy's in this period (if not any period in history). I belive a 1.5-2x increase would be fair.
This would ensure that you would have to be competently managing you're empire through conquests and balancing you're armies upkeep before you would be rewarded with a strong navy capable of dominating the Mediterranean.
The reason i bring this up is because i found it way too easy to build a superior naval force playing as the Spartans. I have 3 fleets each consisting of 4 tier 3 ships(cant remember their name) aswell as a land force consisting of 2 armys stacked with 1x Generals bodyguad 1x skiritai 1x spartan hoplite 4x Perioikoi and also 2x heteroi and 2x slingers. All this and I am still making huge profits from 28 settlements.
Do you agree with the costing balance or would you like to see it tweaked in either raising or lowering the cost to construct?
Regards, Carthage.
