Recruiting Takeda Great Guards

How can i recruit TAKEDA great guards even if im playing other clans? can someone give me steps to do this with PFM? Any reply is going to be well appreciated.

You should be able to do this in "units_to_groupings_military_permissions". Copy the Takeda Great Guard Unit IDRef (it is "Cav_Spear_Light_Cavalry_Takeda"), go into "units_to_groupings_military_permissions", add a row, paste the Unit IDRef into the first column and "japan" in the second. They should show up when you meet the requirements for the unit without the clan-specific limitation.

Also, if you want to use them as the Ikko-ikki you will need a second row. Create the second one as you did the first, but this time add "ikko_ikki" in the second column.


From memory this is how you do it, although if I'm wrong please chime in.

I tried what you suggested but it doesn't seem to work, it does work for other faction specific units though (e.g. chosokabe bow samurai, uesegi warrior monks etc.) Do i need to edit something else in PFM for the takeda great guards?
