This is part one, other parts will become apparent in links after the first one ends.

Nothing particularly new but entertaining that said though I did like to see the classical conception of God in our current monotheistic organisations being attacked purely because if I accepted God existed it could only ever be in a general way as opposed to a holy book kind of way.

So far I've only watched up to part 3, but with the convoluted crap Deepak is spouting along with his embarrassingly underhanded quote mining of Einstein and Hawking, I really don't think I need to watch any further. He also seems completely up himself, just because you took a few physics/chemistry courses in college does not make you an expert on either subject. The woman didn't seem to be adding anything worthwhile either.

Yes, because after the placeholder oligarchic demigods destroyed our planet god will take refuge until evolution brings along another species able to construct such concepts.

God is obviously a time travelling scientist from the future.

    Himster,

Past, present and future to be precise. More than a bit of a scientific genius.

That’s it! Genius! This explains everything and Everything.
God comes into existence part way through the existence of the Universe. He travels back to make the things happen that caused him (and the universe) to exist.
This explains the existence of evil and suffering because things that happened in his past have to have happened the way they did before he existed otherwise he wouldn’t come into existence and cause the whole universe to happen.
He could theoretically change the universe so bad things happen to bad people and good things happen to good people but in practice he can’t because that would change his own personal history and then he would never have existed and so nothing would exist.
Thus he is Omni-benevolent and Omni-puissant and Omni-cognisant he just can’t stick his oar in until after the point where he comes into existence and is able to travel back in time and change things.
Hopefully he’ll come into existence soon and not just before the Universe ends.

D-pok (I like it better spelled like that somehow) should be writing for Star Trek. Everything he says has that wonderful "reverse the polarity" technobabel feel to it. I think he'd get more converts in the U.S. if instead of randomly using physics terms he just threw in phrases from auto mechanics instead. It would make as much sense and spiritual fuel-injection would play better then non-locality--especially in the south.

God does not have a future, he transcends time and space. Duh.

    @Denny Crane,

Human minds can only express qualities of God and not the being of God en toto and you should know that.

This quote by CamilleBonparte says it all:

God probably does not have a future, as he almost certainly does not exist. Duh.

Also, belief in god(s) I think is in for a steady decline. This can be observed in several societies, societies the rest of the world should and would do best to move in the direction of.

Believing in god does not have a future. God himself has one, but one apart from us - assuming he doesn´t show himself to us.

Maybe he can get a job selling cars--or Amway. Anyone who can get people to believe a story like the one in the bible for a few thousand years can sell anything...

    Why?
It was pure logic: If Jesus would have been a normal Human, who did manage to make all those people after him believing him, he would still be human thus dead after being crucified.

I would respond to this but for the fact that I have no idea what it means.

As to Mr. Jesus however: This guy even having existed is a major stretch and not, by my standards, to be taken seriously. Let us compare his bio to a much older god like Horus:

*Both born to a virgin, as announced to the expectant mother by an angle.
*Both births announced by angles to three monarchs who were led to the birth place by a bright star in the east.
*Both were under threat of murder by a king (Herut & Herod respectively)
*Both were said to be both god and man.
*Both were called “The anointed one” (Krist and Christ respectively)
*Both were referred to at various times as:
    The Lamb of God
    The Good Sheppard
    The Son of Man
    The Word
    The Fisher
    The Winnower
*Both have no biographical information between ages 12 through 30 when:
*Both were baptized in a river by a holy man who was subsequently beheaded.
*Both were taken from the desert to a high mountain top and tempted by an evil force (Set & Satan)
    *Both had 12 disciples.
*Both raised a dead man named Lazarus from the grave.
*Both gave a key address called: “The sermon on the mount.”
*Both were crucified along with two thieves and buried in a tomb from which:
*Both were raised from the dead 3 days later and appeared first to a woman in their inner circle.
*Both will allegedly “Reign for 1,000 years in the Millennium.”

And those are just the parallels that I can come up with off the top of my head--there are others.

Since I have no idea about Horus, you could tell me everything. And I won´t study ancient greek gods just for this, I simply lack time.

And I still don´t know why you think my mind is amazin, but I fear it wasn´t a compliment.

Saying that you don't know what I'm talking about, that you cannot be BOTHERED to look into it, hardly constitutes a rebuttal. The fact that you think it does is why I find your brain so interesting.

EDIT: Oh, and he was an Egyptian god, not Greek.

Well, God is timeless, but in terms of His worship on earth, the end will come before He has no more followers, thanks be to Him for it!

Yeah, you guys have been saying "The end is neigh" for a long time now. Fine, whatever. My issue with you is that when it doesn't come I don't want you near any nuclear weapons so you try and MAKE it happen. Your kind is known for that sort of behavior...
