Failed to join game (GS)

Hello, I started having this problem a week ago, and I have been able to play the game for 1-2 years without this problem on every single match.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or am I going to be slammed in to the mud by Gamespy?

If you're getting it with everybody instead of just one or a few people, then there could be a few solutions. Try registry cleaning, uninstalling Hamachi, opening ports, system restoring to when it was working (not sure if this helps, but it's worth a try.

Sometimes it's just GameSpy's problem, and if that's the case, all you can do is hope it goes away. I'm actually having problems myself, and have had the GS error loads of times. Normally it goes away if everything is right.

It's because you have hamachi installed,uninstall it and it would work.

Not really, you dont need to uninstall it, go offline and disable the hamachi network through network properties and you will be fine.

Disabling is annoying since you have to do it every single time you boot up, though. If you're not using it much, I'd just uninstall for convenience's sake.

Lol... To solve that problem you simply have to keep trying to join the game. This happens to me all the time and I simply just keep trying and it works... If that still doesnt work then they may have to rehost the game.

Well normally you can expect a 25% succes rate with hosting.

When i get error like this I just re-exit Rome Total War and try again.But if it wont work I play RTW online by GameRanger (pretty awesome program to play lots of games online)
