cant install alx on rtw gold edition

hi,

i play with rtw gold edition and so i have all patches automatically. now i want to install rtw alx. the setup starts but than it says, i have to patch rtw to 1.5 and 1.6.

i have a clean installation of rtw. all mods have their own rtw-folders.

has anyone an idea?

Did you install R:TW to one location and then move it? It's my understanding is that the installer uses an entry in the registry for the location where R:TW Alex is to be installed.

Where did you get the R:TW Gold from and where did you get the R:TW Alex from?

I had no problem installing my White Label R:TW Alex over a R:TW Gold install. I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit edition and inthe past installed in the same way over a Windows Vista set up.

in the past the alx-installation on rtw gold worked. i use vista. later i removed rtw and alx. than i installed rtw but not the alx version. today i tried it but it didn t work.

maybe i moved the original rtw-folder last year, i dont know. i gave it also another name. so when i move my clean rtw folder to the original install folder (games) it could work?

i have the white label alx. rtw gold edition has no such label.
