The Reconquista has been largely successful. The Christians rule kingdoms across northern Iberia, having seized them from the Muslims after years of bitter fighting. However, their success has only emboldened them. Now, they seek not only domination of the Moor, but of their fellow Christians as well. Among them is the Kingdom of Aragon and its prince, Alfonso Ramirez. Follow the tales of those caught up in his struggle for supremacy, and witness the birth of a mighty kingdom, born in a sea of blood and death.

Blurb: War! The Eastern World is embroiled in the middle of a religious conflict between the Western Roman gods and the Eastern Greek ones. Fighting once more on the bloody shores that had gave birth to the world as they knew it, the fledgling Kingdom of Ionia seeks to preserve itself, if not by means of peace, then by the sword. The men who came had answered the call of the Pontifex Maximus for their war pilgrimage to the Holy Kingdom, but what they found was something entirely different.

The year is 1715, and the turn of the century has brought dramatic change. Where once the primitive and uncivilised could reside in peace, the European powers now rule. Across the globe borders change, as Generals clash and earn their fame through quickness of their minds and the blood of their men.

Now more than ever Aragon needs me, and I will do all in my power to serve my King and Kingdom and bring our beloved realm to new heights of greatness! "I am one of the few remaining men on this earth that remember the glory days of the empire, the days of the last great Emperor Valentinian. I have now seen much more than a man ever needs to witness in his lifetime and now in my winter years I have thought to write it all down.

The following story encompasses the scope of my entire life (well, what I can remember!), and includes tales of my escapades and adventures, for my own sense of fulfilment and for the vague chance that someone might find them and read of this great era.

My name is Valens Sutorius, and I am, was, a Roman."
