Instantly kicked back to the single player menu

Every time I try and start a campaign I'm immediatly sent back to the single player menu, no idea why. Campaign just refuses to start up. This is a steam copy and I have Vista. Yes the UAC is off. That isn't the problem this time.

have you successfully installed other mods on your steam version before?

i also had this error many a moon ago installing TATW, and from what i see in forums it seems steam users get it the most.

i have steam and i've already used the tool.

whene i clic on "start" with my choosen faction i get back in the main menu.

alright so I got this problem fixed. I had a few other mods installed a long time ago that I forgot about and I think they may have over-ridden the core data files at some point.

So what I did was uninstall the entire game. Then I went into my medieval ii folder and found that I had over 17 gigs of mods installed! So I deleted the entire thing, reinstalled kingdoms (and medeival) then put Call of Warhammer back on and its working much better!

Getting send back to the menu is an error that is usually well documented in the log.
