Unless a dev can confirm it's a bug I think you a new RTR install might be enough. Unless the diplomacy that you have added somehow interfere with the script I don't think save games will work. Only new campaign.

I saw that you have advisors on. May be it interfere with the script or make you think you have the script running even if it doesn't ?

thank you for this. I'm gonna try your save. I'm reinstalling now, but i will try your save (without force diplomacy on) straight away because i want to know if they will spawn. Then i will try it with force diplomacy on. And i will report back shortly. Thanks again for helping me out brother.

Right, reinstalled and good to go. But i have a strange problem lol.

I just noticed that all my saves in my RTW folders including old Extended Realism Mod saves as well as new RTR VII saves have the icon for half life 2 like this

and under properties it says "opens with hl2" lololol

The weirest thing is i dont even have hl2 installed.

Oh man i think my laptop needs a complete reinstall! I cant seem to load your game OvO. Really sorry i cant investigate further for you. I dunno, maybe its a Steam conflict? I have the CD version of RTW so i think i might just reinstall from scratch to be sure.

Haha steam and valve are taking credit for our mod You've got to have made it so that steam associates it self with .exe's :S

LOL, I have had it happen to me as well. When I clicked the shortcut for RTR, Battlefield 1918 mod for Battlefield 1942 was popping up with it's splash screen instead of the RTW splash screen but it still loaded RTR. Weird!

I have the original RTW (Activision version) but I always run the game through Steam. The RTR VII launcher actually works (using add-no steam game function) though normal shotcuts didn't work. It always run vanilla RTW or BI or Alex..

lol i thought it weird when i uploaded my save. I was like "huh? that looks like the symbol from Half-Life 2. Great game that. Bit weird being in my RTR save folder, but never mind" lol

When i try to load your save it does appear in my saves when i click "load campaign" but when i load it, it goes to a loading screen with a battle/campaign tip, then immediately goes to another loading screen (like when you alt-tab in and out) without any battle tips and goes back to the main menu.

Also, can anyone rep OvO for me? He has really helped me as well as freakkriek. Thanks.

    Try this.

Use ON to use FD and OFF to change back to vanilla RTR VII.

To desktop easier. Inside the ON/OFF folder there's a Rome Total War folder. Override to Rome Total War folder.

If inside is RTRVII folder, override to RTRVII folder. I'm at the office now, can't extract the files to see the file structure.
