Well, RTRVII uses a system where Thermon will always be your capital no matter what. Moving it wont have the same effects it has in Vanilla, so its probably safest not to move it.

No its just that I have most of my troops around the peloponnese area and now I am worried that Epirus will focus on my capital. And they have blocked the strait that separates the peloponnese and Thermon so I cant ship my units back home.
Well, if they take Thermon your empire will suffer greatly, may I suggest keeping 5-6 units and a family member in Thermon?

Certain buildings are only available at your capital. Losing your capital could cause other cities in your empire to revolt iirc.
The RTW abiltity to re-assign your capital, will only affect distance to capital penalties but we think the game should be balanced enough without moving it.
There are t wo reasons why it might be being targeted. 1. In might be in their victory conditions, 2. The AI knows you will be weakend if it captures your capital.
