Unplayable without simulating, battles crash to many times

This mod is great its a amazing game but im really enoyed now, ive been playing a lot of battles and one in 4 battles the game crashes to desktop, after spending around an 1hr and half on one battle i click end battle and it crashes

its not the graphics as i play with no antialliasing on my ati radeon 6950, its completly random this happends and so frustrating i play huge massive battles and it carrys on fine then 1 in 4 battles crashes
what can i do or is it a problem with the mod? as i play med2 ss , empire and shougun 2, no crashes, the rome total war mods are the best by far but the crashes spoil it and its nearly unplayble without simulating the battles, i think this needs to be resolved or a solution to stop the crashes as it happends not just to me

It´s a known problem. But I don´t think it´s because of the mod but rather because of RTW itself. It helped me if I waited a while before clicking ´end battle´. About 20 seconds after a very long battle should suffice.

And what do you mean by "huge" battles, if you have high vegetation, details, grasses and huge units then it would be worth turnng them down and trying again. The solution to the crashes is tor reduce the settings, please bear in mind, as has been said many times, the game itself is old, so even if you do have the latest, hottest processor and high end graphics, it will make no difference. the game will still run without making any use of that.

Wait 1-2 minutes before clicking continue after a battle.

Also worth considering trying a large address aware patch (google it)

yeah i tried this b4 u mentioned this and it actually works great now, ive had 10 battles in a row and not one crash this should be mentioned as it saves ppl a lot of time and frustration, also should be mentioned as its down to the user who installs it if they want to use it and it can easly be removed, i wish i would of known about the laa earlier

The problem with this solution is that it breaches the TWC rules about modifiying the exe (which is what the fix does).

Anyway, resolved & closed.
