    Default Scotland

Does anyone else find Scotland always seem to manage to conquer England?
I usually play on H/H with savage AI.
I always wanted Scotland to be struggling to survive, and for England to be a big player later in the campaign, but they usually end up with southern England by turn 80-100.
Also what's up with the Scottish invasion on rebel Bruges?

I don't think I've ever seen Scotland take the whole British Isles. They do always seem pretty intent on taking the Dutch settlements though.

In one odd campaign I saw them take Tunis in a Crusade then lose their home territories to England, and then proceed to dominate North Africa.

In all my campaigns Scotland always conquers England. I think this is because of the William Wallace event.
The AI is set to go after the rebel regions first that's why Scotland invade Bruges.
    The English do the same!

i once saw them migrating to hamburg(that excomunicated HRE fortress) after taking the dutch rebels territories...
i couldnt keep track on them, but i believe they have norwegian settlements, and the norwegians have scotish settlements(the last one i know for sure)...

Ah cheers always wondered why they loved Bruges. I just always wanted Scotland to be like ultra strong rebels that stop England becoming too powerful until late game.

I saw that, I was playing as Sicily and I had map information from jsut about every faction so I could see just about everywere as rebel setlements were basicly non existent at this point. But the only place I hadn't bothered to go to was the British Isles. I show up and BAM, London was scottish. The English only had Wales and Dumonia (Cornwall for those who can't remember) left, don't recall if they had anything in Ireland but they were on the brink of being defeated completely when they made a quick truce with Scotland (and invaded France)

Point being: yes it is odd that they seem able to do that, I thought the english should be more powerfull than the scots (not to the point of owning them but at least strong enough to hold them back)

Do you know if it's possible to change the script when Scotland only have one settlement left?

Sure - however not for a running campaign. Personally I'm currently pondering to advocate kicking the Wallace script - and Wallace. Or if not then the code might be reduced to fewer trigger cases.

If England gets Ireland it's all over for the Scots, or if they get Rennes, the money they collect lets them thoroughly trash the Scots, usually though the English spread themselves out and the French kick them out, then the Scots start downward long before Willy ever gets around. I've seen it go both ways though to not be able to say the Scots always beat the English.

I seem to find a bit of a 60-40 split, slightly in favour for the English.

In my recent (and on-going) Crusader States campaign, the English kicked the Scots out of Britain and Ireland, and into Flanders in around 1300. The Scots were then quickly wiped out even with the William Wallace event.

Another surprise though was how well Lithuania did. They absolutely crushed everything around them including the Mongols and Timurids, and I believe they're the strongest nation right now.
