Thread: Recruitment in the Levant

    Default Recruitment in the Levant

I wanted to start a ce game and create a great crusader empire. Of course the two best factions for this are the Normans of Sicily (because they controll Antiochia) and France(Kingdom of Jerusalem, yay). Playing as the Normans, I checked the building tree in Antiochia and the only knights they can recruit are Lombard knights from the italian merchant colony and dismounted vassal knights. Jerusalem has Knight units to recruit. Also, hospitals cannot be recruited in Antiochia aswell.
Is that a case of a missing ressource or is it meant to be this way (I know crusader states relied on knights from Europe and on Knightly orders)?

^It's meant to be that way, although it's a bit tricky to find out which faction can recruit what crusader units (each Crusading faction can recruit a different set of Crusader units, for variety's sake ).
