Sorry this may sound kinda "Nazi-itch" but I love feed-back & suggestions but I cannot stand people making criticisms about in-accuracies or what not who don`t have time, skills or will to help me change it ( just giving me more busy work) after all this is my project & am the one doing the work! ( mind you please do not feel I am in-flexible around these issues feedback on issues like 2d specifically is crucial`!
) This mod although very, very historic, please understand some license will be taken for modding purposes
    thank you

actually looking at this map it might be prudent to add the Dauphinous` in the upper left portion of the map & perhaps from my other project ChC: Renaissance Europe
Herzogtum Von Saxony & Koniegh Bohmen
    (sorry for the spelling)

I do not know what you guys mean? too small? the map is the exact same map used for ChC: Renaissance Europe
I simply re-crafted the heights & that map if you have played it, is pretty big! perhaps visually it is not moving you until you see the regions map, the mod boundaries will probably be: to north and northeast Frankfurt & Prague respectively, northwest Limoges & Toulouse & to the South Naples so it has gotta be pretty big to get in 195 regions (in the same geographic circumference in the ChC: Renaissance Europe map that that specified portion of the map has may 70 regions at most! I am sure when you see the regions map you will have a much different impression!
& in terms of adding all of Italy, that would be nice but I want to include a "big" part of both France & Germany in this as well!
    thank you

I think it couldn't be considered a whole mod but rather a large submod of your own mod since as you said, you used a part of your mod's map.
If you aim for a Renaissance mod, consider to add a larger map that includes the rest of the Western Europe, a lot of important factions, events and battles happens in central France, Spain, Germany and Britannia. Or simply upgrade your ChC mod on that timeframe, I believe it's the best option and you'll waste less time.

sorry to disagree, but you seem to mis-understand perhaps you fully do not understand what I meant/ and or mapping
the map is the exact same map as in ChC (
Same exact size) I completely Deleted all regions & all heights, re-drew the heights to reflect Northern/central Italy, Southeast France & southern Germany So in essence what I did was take an area of the original ChC map ( which is only about twenty five% of the entire map) & blew that up to the same size as as the entire ChC map now the original ChC map is home 197 regions so in logic why would you not be able to the 195? but I do agree it will probably be around 140-150 when I am done
also this will not be "sub" mod for several Reasons:

    1. It will have all new menus, loading screens, banners, quotes, symbols, music
everything! & this all will be different than ChC.
    2. the scope of the mod warrants it stand alone!
    3. it will be a totally unique game play! experience
just wait I am about 1/3 through laying the regions I will post the regions map and you will get what I am saying.
    thank you

I fully understand what you mean, you took a part of your initial ChC map and make it as a main map. That is not the problem.
The problem is it is considered a submod and let me enumerate you the reasons:
    • You do use a map, ideas and other files of an existing mod (which is your mod)to make another mod.
    • Even if this project brings new loading screens, banners, quotes, etc. it can be still a submod and really the best example ever is the Battle of the Baltic. It's a totally converted SS submod and it's like as a main mod, the difference is BotB use SS game files to work.
    • And lastly, that would be unfair that this project use a hosted forum slot while it has all the requirements of a large submod, so the best thing to do is that you use your ChC has your mod base and still do your conversion for this project.

You could ask to other modders and they will say the same as me. And personally, it will be pointless to restart from scratch while all you main files is already in your existing mod.

it is up to him to decide is it a submod or not...

and what people wanted to say is not about actual in-game size of map, but rather the fact that it includes too small space, more of Italy is needed, and perhaps west Adriatic coasta as well

    @st. Polycarpe
no arguments totally agreed on all points

@ Hrobotus you have a point, but this mod is really only about Northern Italy & the Conflicts with the Germans & French respectively

I like that very much! it will take alot of re-working but you got the "vision" here! (gonna take a little time have too craft a whole new basic heights)

Default Re: the renaissance of war! Italy, Germany & France (Italian city-states & surrounding powers)

is this better! ( based off the map Hrobotus posted) I drew it myself~ I know it is far from perfect! but I think it is close enough once again to re-iterate:
    factions will be:

    French

    Le Duchie` De Savoy
    Le` Comte` Burgun` (burgundy)

    German
    herzogtum von saxony
    Koniegh Bohmen

    Italian
    Genova
    Venice
    Florence
    Napoli
    the Vatican Offices
Pisa or Milan or both ( just mean northern italy will be rather cluttered!)

@ Hrobotus even though I will probably use Venice as developed in my my other projects I would be open to you taking control over their development!

the Eastern reaches of this map will include Zagreb, Zara & Vienna & possibly Budapest
I thinking since we have two french factions
    two German
    & six Italian
    should I add Hungary?

let it have alot of factions in northern italy , with so many nations on a small penisula, it will truly be TOTAL WAR

I agree with St. Polycarpe this will be a "sub" mod of "ChC: Renaissance Europe"
I will not add it as a provincial campaign though (as ChC itself is already very big) but as a separate mod you can download

    this my work so far!
I am done with the regions ( always add more upon particular suggestion)
here is the region map it equals 105 regions
( but they are big! & all characters have generous movement points!)
    Attachment 179903
below is a map of general faction locations some capitals & major settlements
    ( much is omitted)
Also due to the lack of Talented researchers I did have to take "artistic license" in naming many of the lesser regions ( that can be change easily though)
