    Books, got to love books.

I'm just going to recommend a few.

Lars Ramslie: Biopsi (Don't think it's available in any other languages than Norwegian)
Erlend Loe: Naiv Super (One of the first books I really liked that didn't have any hobbits in it)
Edgar Allen Poe has some great short stories too.

I've read a lot of great books, but it seems like they're all condemned to only beeing published in Norwegian. So there seems like there is no point in recommending them.

I just bought a  of books though, and I'll see if any of them are worth recommending later.
Fyodor Dostoevsky - The Idiot (I'm only going to read Dostoevsky to pose as a semi-intellectual of course. )
Cicero - Tusculanae Quaestiones (Thought it would be great to catch up on some ancient philosophy)
Herman Lindquist - Napoleon (Attack of the dwarf)
George Orwell - 1984 (On recommendation from an English teacher I respected)
Bret Easton Ellis - American Psycho (Liked the movie, probably like the book too)
Sun Tze - The Art of War (The fart will conquer the tornado if the tornado suddenly has a nose etc)
Bram Stoker - Dracula (Mirror, mirror on the wall, why I no reflection hold?)
Lars Ramslie - Ugly Bugly (It's about two siamese twins (Man and Woman) who's connected upside-down)

..and some other books I don't care to mention as you will all consider me to be a bookie from Bookland on the planet of Bookanus in the galaxy of Booky Way.

Knut Nærum - En himmel full av stjerner (About our and our society's focus on fame)
Abo Rasul - Macht ünd Rebel (I haven't figured it out yet, I need to read it one more time. So far I think it's about the hypocrisy of the left-side-movement against the global companies)
Eskil Engdal - Berserk (Pure entertainment)
Are Kalvø - Syden (Funny insight on our behaviour when outside our borders)
Erlend Loe - Fakta om Finland (I think it's existential, but don't take that as a good fish (Norvagisme ftw))
Erlend Loe - Doppler og Volvo Lastvagnar (About finding your place in society (or in this case, outside it))

Some of theese books combine entertainment with serious topics, but they still actually have some serious points about our society. Macht und Rebel is somewhat in the gutter concerning morals, but it's quite interesting anyway.
Do you got any good Norwegian books to recommend?

I liked it when I was younger. I've just always had a Civil War fetish. Your right, its nothing compared to Monte Cristo.
