    Default ATW Trailer#1

It has been a while since you didn't get news of us.

Publius has recently made an excellent trailer for the mod. Be aware it contains a big part of work in progress work, but I think you will like it.

    Download links (42.55MB):

    ATW Trailer (rapidshare)

    ATW Trailer (Megaupload)

    Enjoy!

    EDIT:
New version of the trailer, by Zhuge Liang:

That theme music was fairly, ahem, 'bangin'. Good looking preview though.

Guys, guys... u have to learn modern rock music (in this case System of a Down) doesnt fit RTW...
For rest: good trailer, though it seemed to "lag" a bit.
    Cool archers.

Héhé... don't worry guys, SOAD won't be our soundtrack for the mod

It was simply because Publius didn't have a good "celtic-like" soundtrack so he decided to go with this one

Seemed highly "unprofessional" if you ask me. SoaD, while I love them, does not fit in to RTW. You also used fraps for video (bad idea) but that was about all I saw that was wrong. The units looked nice, and the last shot was pretty cool (should have had the horsemen charge at the end). IMGO, overall, I would give a 2/5. Trying using the movie function within the movie cam to make videos next time though. It will be lag free and doesn't have a damn logo at the top.

nice preview! But seriously, i completely flinched when that noise started playing ...nevertheless, i'm still hoping you can get this thing done fast. so plz, hustle it...or i may have to get my stick over there and start prodding you with it to hurry up !

Be gentle folks, it is MY FIRST VIDEO. I realized going into this that SOAD would prob be very unpopular with some, but hey, it adds a different element to it. As far as the movie cam is concerned, I have read all the tutorials but for some reason have had problems actually capturing the tgas. My computer is also fairly limited in what it can do, and the massive files produced by this would definently take a toll. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, however.

This definetly gets my vote for most hilarious mod trailer. Couldint you guys have just used Hross of Gutenburg's music? He's helping with that aspect afterall.(But then agian, i'm the guy who love's his stuff)

Celt, could you link me to that guys music? I love that kind of stuff.

And um, dude why didnt you just use theme music from the movie King Arthur or a few Braveheart tracks (several of them fit). That wouldve been a helluva lot better than SOAD.

P.S., you need to hear the King Arthur soundtrack. It doesnt matter if you hated the movie, the soundtrack is PHENOMENAL.

Wish I could Cao Cao but I havent heard from Hross at all. I was Emailed him you see, offering to use his music in Flagellum Dei(sp?), but he hasent responded so all I can give are links to samples so I hope those suit you untill I can get the full stuff from him. Hold on while I upload.

PS:Yes I agree King Arthur and Braveheart would've worked nicely.

EDIT:Okey Cao Cao here are the samples.

Hross is our germanic specialist, and you may ear this kind of music in ATW
He is actually very busy - he travels a lot - and I don't know when he will be back exactly.

Even if SOAD isn't appropriate Publius did make a really good job for a first try. We decided together to make it public, simply because of the lack of news, I think the next trailer would be more "professional"

Hey, i hope nobody minds, but i redid your trailer slightly after agraes gave me permission. It still lags as i only had the origional film to work with, but i added a nice logo at the end and made it a bit more conventional.

I will upload it when i get home today.

well, i think it's original, somehow better than other trailers made with the usual music.
Good idea, even if filming could have been made a bit better.
But maybe it's me being a perfectionist.

It's still stupid punkmusic! should have tryed with disco or the duffman theme! the way you did it is just showing your audiotheque's and curiosity's limits!
Anyway, it does serve the mod, if not the editer! The game looks sweet.

Actually, SOAD is one of my favorite bands even if it's not me who choosed the trailer music. If you don't like it the other version is with the music from the King Arthur movie!

Oh and those trailers are now very old, much progress have been made since
