I wouldn't rule it out. We're always thinking ahead to future projects, and if we're in the right place to do Rome 2, Medieval 3 etc, we won't say no. It has to be right for the game, though. We waited 10 years before making Shogun 2.

So, you're not about to announce the making of R2TW?
I'm running out of years that I'll be able to play PC games for hours! I believe I have 3 or maybe 4 such years left, perhaps less!

    Please, please, make R2TW!
(Or make a large campaign map with many provinces for any game from ETW-S2TW so we could mod it)

Will those maps be for singleplayer as well?

screw rome 2 and medieval 3! make empire 2 TW but don't limit yourself to the line infantry/gun powder age. Start earlier.. let's say 200 years earlier(and continue on the 1800s)and redeem yourselves with a game that dwarfs even empire tw in scale, culture, and awesomeness. I think you guys can do it right this time around. I don't like giving out praises but you guys have been improving steadily since empire(talking vanilla campaign) and i'm sure you guys(CA) can do yourselves right by accomplishing what, i think, you guys set out to do with empire, which was the ultimate total war game that's not limited to a specific area in the map.

And would you rule out a new expansion / DLC for NTW? I'm sure if you make one with just an improved map with more regions you'd be many happy.
Or are you finished with NTW for the moment and won't consider anything except a NTW2 in the not to near future?

I hope you won't dodge this question again

So if it is not RTW2 or Mtw3...

Renaissance total war? (perhaps, never done!)
Victorian age total war? (never done too)
Secession war total war? (doubt but possible)
Colonial total war? (I doubt because of political correctness...)
WW1 total war? (they said they won't do ww2 a time ago, ww1 would be possible )

I didn't understand if the units from Rise of Samurai DLC will be available in Avatar conquest mode. Guys who don't purchase this, will they have to face units from this DLC among enemy's ranks - like the two previous DLCs - or not?

    Rome 2, MTW3, ETW 2...

    Wow, what happened to originality?

There are other types of wars out there.

Well, they already made an Asian oriented game (S2TW). The next one IMO should encompass a large chunk of the world. To make that and appeal to much of the PC-Gamers they IMO need Europe. To appeal to even more PC-Gamers they would do well with an ETW remake that encompasses even MORE theaters, so that Chinese, Japanese and Indians could also play in their theatre.

Ehh... Victorian age/Colonial age TW is ETW era +/-100 years.
Renaissance total war is M2TW era (late).

Appart from WW1 total war (that has airplanes, submarines, long range bombardment = implementation problems) Renaissance TW could be included in M3TW and Colonial/Victorian TW could be included in E2TW.

This, would love a original title for the next game.

    We know that.

You'll see I didn't confirm we were working on any of those things...

Indeed there are. To my mind there are three crucial must-haves regarding the next TW title (they're already working on it)

    1. Keep it original -- a new period, new theater, new game style, etc.
    2. Make it mod friendly -- the needs of modders should be paramount in the design of the next game.
    3. Take your time -- I'm happy to wait two years (or longer!) for the next Total War.

Nah, that would be way too complicated. China itself is already the size of Europe and very complex. Same goes for India. A total war game can not have the entire Eurasian continent unless they want to over simplify it and dumb it down into something retarded.

    A) I'm sure they would have no problems making a map of that size.
B)The replayability from so many cultures would be so much better than just Asia/Europe
    C) Why do you assume they will dum it down? What's stopping them making a map that covers the entire area?

If you are somehow disappointed in CA or Shogun II, then please say so in a polite manner. There is no need for off-colour remarks about other people.
