Sauron summons his armies

Hello, someone might say to me, if on having summoned a crusade (sauron summon his armies) this one on not having obtained his aim it ends at some time or it lasted all the necessary shifts to achieve his aim? For example the crusade of edoras initially of the campaign

Pd: I sit it if he does not understand himself well, and used a translator

Lol! Are you asking if a crusade will eventually end if the evil armies don't capture the objective?

Exactly.

Crusade will end when every crusading general is killed. Generals can join in crusade in first 9 turns after crusade has been called.

Edit: or otherwise if crusade target city has been captured or changed it's owner
