Probably a few days before we release it.

Or if you didn't get it the first time, we won't give any precise answer to this kind of question. When we know, we'll make an announcement. If we say nothing, it's we are still working on something

I did not see these questions as they were in the last message of the page.

We never discuss this idea before. I don't know if it's doable, I never tried to add the "wounded" to another general.
    However, the changes we have:
    - I have removed the assassination ability. I don't know of an historical example of a general assassinated by an ennemy agent during this period.
    - We have some unique units (Lasalle's hussars for exemple, or Uxbridge), which are available at the start of the campaign, and are quite strong, but if you lose them they are gone, you can recruit them again.

In theory it should be possible, I've seen a table with things like that. However, I have not tested it to check how well it works. I plan to try that later, but not anytime soon, we have to many on our plate for the coming weeks (months?)

For the Navy, we will integrate a good part of Lutland's mod. But probably without the named ships, it will be more based on class (like Navire de Ligne de la Classe Océan). I plan to work on that after the land units are done. Or rather, while l'Aigle will be working on a faction texture, I'll fill the gaps with that.

I'm not sure yet. If we could find a way to allow that in the custom battle, yes for sure. For the campaign, I'm a little annoyed with the way it's done, by editing a saved game.
If we do it, we'll not use Albtraums unit cards mod but rather make our own version. I have already modified the battle card (see screenshots in the first page), and it would conflict with his changes.
But anyway, this would come in a "version 2".

Some news. I have finished all the unit voices for France and Britain, including their foreign units (Polish, Dutch, German).
So if you fight as Britain with some KGL troops, your English soldiers will speak English, and the KGL German.
If you play as France with "occupied" English troops, they will speak English.

I have also remap the voices so they are played more logically in the game. For instance, when a unit is charged by infantry, it won't say "beware, their cavalry is charging us".
and I change a little some settings, like reducing the volume of the "mob sounds" in melee, but increased the volume of the voices, so you can actually hear them now instead of a big "YAAAHHH!"

Due to the nature of the recruitment system, with extensive AOR and regional units, you will need to spread your recruitment to many region.

Ideally, I'd add a new slot to every city to allow building barracks or canon foundry, but it seems to be far from easy to do. So unless I get a volunteer knowing how to do that to help with the necessary startpos and esf edition (hint hint), I'm using a different approach.

First, in the fortification slot, you can opt to build a barracks or canon foundry instead.
Second, each building allows recruiting more troops than usual.

For instance, the administrative center allows recruiting
    - at level 1: Militia,
    - at level 2 : Line Infantry, main cavalry
    - at level 3 : Grenadier, elite cavalry
    - at level 4 : Artilery
    The barracks allows recruiting
    - at level 1: Militia, Line infantry, main calvary
    - at level 2 : grenadiers, elite cavalry
    - at level 3 : artillery
The fort allows recruiting Line infantry, artillery...

However, the recruited units will have no experience, unless they are from a specialized buildings (ie: artillery will have experience only if recruited from Canon chain buildings).

You will also be able to benefits from the depot, factory, gunsmith, horses, farms...

The allowed building is not always the same, depending on the region.

For instance, in the Bretagne region, there is a farm resource, it will allow recruitment of cavalry (and so the barracks will not allow it).

    This has two main effect:
    - Your resources and towns will be more important as they can allow you recruiting some units that are not available with the settlement alone.
    - A region will be able to recruit all the type of units it can allow, whatever the actual buildings slots in the city (unless the units is given by a resource, outside of the settlement). However, you may want to specialize. For instance, in a level 1 city, if you build adminsitrative center and fort, you will still be able to recruit all the type of units, but with no experience. If you decided to replace the fort by a barracks, troop will have more experience, but you won't benefit from the protection of the fort.

I didn't know you were here Steph. I speak English (obviously) and Spanish and (Scottish) Gaelic. Sheesh, you should've asked, I'm supposed to be an interpreter after all.

You already have me on IM anyway.

"b) If you have a microphone and can regard yourself, record short sentences of your voice speaking key sentences such as "Form Square", "Charge", "Grenadier"." might want to change it to record. Just trying to help.

You may have this all sorted, but I can help with variants if you need it. Just provide me with sources and I'll make them, just I can't do UI cards and I may be busy in real life.

Variants we do, they are needed to check the textures in game anyway.

I have a question for you all, about the names of regiments.

Initially, my idea was to have faction specific list of regiment

Like for British "Inniskilling", "Queen's Own", etc.

But since you have allied units which are recruitable, there's the risk that when you recruit French units in occupied Normandie with the British, they could be named "Fusilier de l'Infaterie de Line - Inniskilling regiment of Foot".

So perhaps it may be better to just us a generic name, like "1st Regiment".

Your view on that, or suggestion to improve the system?

Takhisis is my evil brother whose avatar turns to a kitten on Caturdays and *gasp* posts in OT.

Send the details! Do you need something recorded? Only text? Both?

I'd need a few texts, mostly the name of units. We have started working on Spain yet, and for gaellic (Ireland and Scotland), we are using standard English names for the Britain faction.
I'd like to use gaellic name for the emergent factions Scotland and Ireland.

For the voice recording, I can upload somewhere the sounds in English, and I'd like to get the equivalent in gaellic. It can be huge (there are many sounds, perhaps 200), so it may not be necessary to make all of them. If we can have them all, I can just replace the sounds, if I have only some, I could make a kind of mix, where the units will spak mostly English, but with a few Gaellic sentences from time to time for more flavour.

Spanish was already done by CA. However, if you want to check it was correctly translated, I could upload them when we'll prepare Spain later (at lest a few month, we'll do Prussia, Russia and Austria first), if you want to compare them with the English version and check for obvious error.
