Limit is half of the actual number of ships, same as for land units, half of the actual number of regiments.

The big factions such as France or Britain don't really have a limit for the main ships, like the 74. The limit is much more important for smaller factions, or for the bigger ships like 122-guns.

Keep in mind that this is the total limit, it will be spread between different regions. So if they are captured, you will have a reduced limit.

The accent button should be near the "P" or "L". If you are using an american (States) keybord. Press once the key (don't matter if it's not drawn over the key), then the letter you wanna give an accent to.

Alternatively, you can click on the Start Menu, go to Accessories, System Tools and Character Map should be inside, click on it. Check mark the "Advanced View" box in the lower section of the application and type accent in the "search for:" box. The keystrokes should appear in the lower right section. Hope it helps, maybe you knew this already.

I have finished reworking the list of names for the ship.
I have hsitorical list for the main naval factions: France, Britain, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Ottomans.
For the Italian speaking factions and German speaking factions, I'm using the generic list from CA, same for Hungarian, Greek and Polish (with a few addition).

And I have made some lists for some minor factions, should they happen to emerge in the game and recruit their own ships.

From what I read, it seems that at the time of independance, neither French nor Dutch were the main language, become mostly spoke local dialect.

Étant donné que le 1er message de ce sujet m'a donné l'eau à la bouche, je me suis empressé de lire chaque page, et je dois admettre que c'est un travail soigné et d'après ce que j'ai lu, bien organisé.
Lorsque j'ai eu le plaisir de discuter la dernière fois avec L'Aigle il y a de ça quelques mois, et qu'il me parlait d'un mod sur lequel il travaillait et d'un mystérieux modeur dont il ne voulait pas révéler le nom, je ne m'attendais pas à un projet aussi étoffé. Je peux enfin mettre un nom au "mythe".

Pour info, je fais parti des Grognards, une communauté francophone et francophile de passionnés de la révolution française et des Guerres Napoléoniennes.
Je fais également parti d'un collectif de modeurs s'appelant, The Lordz pour lesquels je réalise des recherches historiques, sur le nombre d'unités (régiments etc) à différentes dates, leurs compositions et noms exactes dans différentes langues. Étant quadrilingue (français, allemand, russe et anglais) je vous propose mon aide pour la correction orthographique, notamment celle de certaines translitérations du russe qui sont erronnées. De plus, à l'époque il me semble avoir vue une page web avec les différents noms de factions, de régions et/ou d'unités et certaines orthographes pointilleuses en allemand n'étaient (à l'époque) pas respectées.

Autre sujet. N'ayant vu aucun message de L'Aigle dans ce sujet, je commence à sérieusement me demander si il ne se retrouve pas pris en otage chez toi Steph, ligoté à une chaise avec seulement ses mains de libres pour texturer de nouvelles unités.

Dernier point, c'est moi ou la moitié des gens qui postent dans ce sujet sont mort de jalousie ?

For the names, I'm posting in the opening post, for each faction, the name of all the unit types. For the moment, only France and Britain have lists for the land units. Other factions have more names for the navy.

Transliteration from Russian is not always easy, as it may vary if using a English or French source. For the name of units, I've asked a Russian friend, so I guess they should be correct.

But if you spot a mistake somewhere, feel free to point it to me.

I will add in the first page the names of the regions and cities I'm currently using, so everyone could propose corrections.

About l'Aigle: he is not really at ease with English, so he let me handle the communication here.

We will release a demo/beta version with only France and Britain playable in land battles as soon as we can.
L'Aigle is finishing some additional textures, then we'll test it a little more and release it.

I cannot tell you exactly what these textures are, but I can tell you with have been very busy with it and they look fantastic. And it's something which someone may have been requesting for a long time. Or not. I will tell you more as soon as I can. Perhaps.

The demo may also contains the navy for all the factions in naval battles.

For the campaign, since are recruitment system is very different, if we release something before we do all the factions, it will be quite unbalanced since the factions we finish and the factions we do not will play quite differently.

But we will probably ask some beta testers to play the campaign anyway just to check the mechanism, even if we know it's not balanced. We have not decided yet if it will be a closed or opened beta.
