Fascination of creation through modification.
Hi,
I'm playing Stainless Steel 6.4 and was asking myself, if it is very complex to change the codes of Total War: Medieval 2, so WE can create or revive states, countries etc. ingame.
I got the idea after I witnessed (for the 4th time) the fall of the Templar States in one of my campaigns. No matter what Era you play in, it usually takes about 60 rounds and they are gone.
So I wanted to ask you, if it is possible, to modify the game, so a Supreme faction with enough wealth is in the position of announcing one of its lords or family members to the new ruler of a past faction or a completely new one.
I know that it isn't the purpose of the game to conquer half Europe and then split it again into countless faction, but I thought it would be fun to revive a faction and make it your vassal, because you kind of liked the units and wanted to see them rule alongside with you or you liked the challenge.
Of course there would be problems: What if I revive a faction with another religion? What happens if I create a state that I actually need to destroy in order to accomplish my campaign goals? etc. etc.
All in all it was just an idea and I wanted to know if it is possible and if so, what would you think about it?
Thanks for your time

I know this isn`t exactly what you wanted, but it might do the trick.

Wow, that's pretty much as close, as one can come to my idea. Thank you very much!
P.S.: Why didn't I find this when I searched for it? That IS embarrassing.
