Settlements are evil?

Well, I got the third age mod installed version 2.1 including patch. But I come here to post this topic for clarification since I'm in doubt that this is my head = S
The thing is, I have everything installed just right I suppose.
I'm Third acts in campaign mode, and the castles are on the map as the middle ground. Minas Tirith; Isenguard etc. .. But when I go to attack or defend the castle, the castle is like the castles of medieval 2 total war (castles of the original game) ..
Well now the question is ..
Is that really so?

The settlements are correct as is. 3.0 will have specialized settlements, but 2.1 does not.

there's no release date, as anything can still happen wich will take more time to solve or make or finish

Yes, as already anwsered your version is just fine, the settlements will come with the next version that might be released in october/november, noone knows when it will be done finally.
