I don't think they used music though. I was thinking of going that route then I realised if we use HBO music in the game, when you guys download the mod (for free) you will be getting access to the mp3s (for free) as well, which technically, I believe, means I am illegally distrubuting property that doesn't belong to me!

They used more or less the whole soundtrack from the three movies. That's why my battles for 10x more epic.

We'll have some good original music, don't worry. And if you really want the HBO music, it's extremely easy to add it to the mod yourself (providing you purchase the soundtrack of course!)

I'm sorry i don't understand the concept of...payment is it? to purchase anything that can be laying around for free. also there are numerous mods out here that use music that was not officially allowed to be used.

every time you go on youtube and listen or see part of a movie/show/song/etc you are pirating, if you missed Game of thrones last night and you live anywhere outside of US you must pirate to watch the show. thats how it works buddy.

i think there was this story about this kid, like 2-3 y/o dancing to this rock song and his mom filmed it, they posted it on youtube and had more than a million views, you know what happened? because of copy rights the song the baby was dancing to in the video was no permitted so they took it down. or the video of the homeless guy with the 'golden' voice, his video was taken down by reddit, you know the video that gave him that job as a radio host.

Regarding the use of music, what tracks in the OST would even really suit a game like this?

Hmmm... I thought about that, but it seems TA: TW has got away with it for so long (I doubt anyone there is sending checks to New Line...). Original music though? Thats cool.

Most of the music for the show was filler. But that epic theme is pretty great. Would make a great menu screen background.

Nice. Maybe its time to give the soundtrack a listen sans show. Maybe I just didn't notice the music. Either way, like the LotR soundtrack, it should provide nice background to my term paper writing...

shows usually have 2 OSTs, im guessing you will get that song when the second OST comes out

that would be awesome, not entirely sure if it was ever in the show or if it was just used a lot in Sky Atlantic features about the show. No idea how I'd find out either

if you guys ever needed some help with creating any music i could help. i lack good sound fonts at the moment but i've got sound musical theory and some average soundfonts on tuxguitar which i've used to create a soundtrack to a game i made for my I.T work. Just throwing it out there, trying to be useful for this awesome mod!( hopefully the word tuxguitar isn't copyrighted to sue me for using it )
