georgian shields

this is georgian heavy swordsman. you may see georgian units in Broken Crescent, this is like Monaspa or Tadzreuli heavy swordsman, but I think it will be very nice to do new unit - Georgian feudal heavy swordsman. Georgian feudals, nobles had own small armies. Their warriors were good armed and equipped and fought for their Lord. In war commander of this regiments was King and their lord. Feudal army was one of the important part of united army of georgian kingdom.

this is Georgian medium swordsman like Broken Crescent Kartlian spearman, but with swords. this is medium infantry - peasants who can bought weapon and can fight.

West Georgian warrior - this is very interesting and original unit - Western georgians were Colchians in ancient time and had very good experience of war and making weapons. western georgians were very good warriors and fought against Byzantine and Sassanid empire many times. In IX-X century there was kingdom of Abkhazia(old georgian province with georgian dynasty kings). In south of west georgia - Tao-Klarjeti - in ancient georgian land georgian Bagration King Ashot I Bagration started made new georgian united kingdom and his successors and western georgian allies done this and unite the georgia, with king Bagrat III. Western georgian armies was very important part of united Georgian army. Their soldiers had armour like byzantine infantry, georgian axe and spear.

and other georgian shields - with georgian culture ornaments and georgian written language inscriptions - used in medieval georgia.

Of course,your pics and sources are pretty good,but they've already made units and collected enough infos for mod.Georgians already have two swordsmen units,so that's good enough.+ rep forc pics

Thank you for pics. We have finished our Georgian roster but actually some of them fit as mercenary units in north-western regions. You know, you should take these northern settlements in order to build Great Georgia. I suppose one ore two mercenary units will be georgian mercenary units in the game.

And ty for shileds thou. I assure you can see them in our mod.

Can you change Georgian units and roster?Many things are wrong about georgian army. For example, anachronistic armor, infantry nobles with axes.
I will help you in everything, I am an amateur historian and illustrator.
