So I was playing an english campaign(hard and hard) against the french(It's late game, we were allied for like 300 years), I'm besieging valencia then a french army comes out of nowhere to break the siege, I fall back since I have only three units of Yeomen(96 men each due to a riot in granada) three armoured swordsmen(96 men each, same reason) and two full units of english knights and a full late armoured knights unit(Grand unit mod), I have about 800 without a general, and they have an 8 command 6 chivalry 9 piety and full loyalty general(Adam Doiue) and a full stack(more than full they ten to cheat), with a TON of infantry and 3 grand bombards.

On the battlefield I found a nice little hill with with a flat top and rocks flanking and only a little narrow path up, I place Stakes on the path and place all my infantry behind the yeomen,unit that blocks the path , I place my other units of yeomen on top of the cliffs of the hill and move my knights to the side of the map near the exit. When they are attacking the cannons get left behind so I deprive them of a valuable weapon with my cavalry.

Then as the french assault the hill they send their light cavalry and their general charging through the stakes and you can see what hapens next, I have my dismounted knights attack, then after a few seconds half the guys rout, then all but a spear unit has routed, the spear unit routed and my cavalry just kinda stood in the path killing all the people that tried to run. Then they ran down the people who broke free.


In the end I killed 824 captured around 970 around 260 of their guys survived, I lost 54 men.

I wish I could just see the french kings face when he saw the battle report.

Yeah I guess I could, I think I'm gonna have a retool of this since another french full stack is coming through and I suspect it shall go to Zaragoza, so I;m gonna take this army and try to block the mountain pass.

wow sounds like you had an Agincourt moment in your campaign awesome

Dude pretty much all my "heroic victories" are agincourt moments, unless I'm fighting the aztecs then its just charge pull back charge. Also I've noticed that the french aren't fielding any of their elite cavalry, but they are fielding there best infantry right now, as well as their archers. I'm pretty sure I saw a french mounted archer in one of their armies. Ever had that happen?

By the time you reach the Aztecs your faction is just generally so much more powerful than anything they can throw at you.

And you can just charge in with heavy cavalry and maul all their units
