Cant Play Need Help

the error says ''you dont have roma surrectum II installed in the correct folder (c:\Program Files (x86)\ the creative assembly\roma_surrectumII)'' what folder should it go in.
next is ''Engine: RomeTW.eexe, Faction campaign:-mod:play_rome''
third is in ''total 'RomeTW.exe-mod:play_rome-show_err-nm-movie_cam''
also im playing from a rome total war gold edition with only the rome installed not barbarion invasion do i need to install barbarian invasion to or is just incombatiple i have no mods on my rome but will the saves efffect it. or should i download the files agian i really have been looking forward to playing this mod so if i could get it to work it would be awsome. ok ive been looking on the forums some more and i tried the bat file. but it says i dont have RomeTW.exe how would i go about fixing that.

Where to start..

What did you install and where. Please be precise.
No you don't need BI, the mod will play with RTW, BI or Alex, it does not need either BI or Alex.
This mod completely modifies your game, you should make a copy and install to that if you intend to play another game.
There are numerous threads on the best way to install this, ideally, do not use Program Files.

ok i downloaded the stuff into the download section of my computer in a new folder then i made a folder in the creative assembly folder named roma_surrectumII and installed the game there.

Hmm, I would suggest starting again.

create a new directory structure as follows:

C:\Games
C:\Games\RomeSurrectum

Delete everything else associated with RTW including the original installation (except your downloaded files)

Install RTW to C:\Games\Rome - Total War
Install BI if you want to.
Copy you new Rome folder to C:\Games\RomaSurrectum
Now install the downloaded files to C:\Games\RomaSurrectum

You should be all set. If you have a further problem, a screenshot of what the installation folders look like.

sorry i suck with the program stuff what is c:\games? does this mean i lose my save games to cause for vannila rome total war i have over 15 campiagns saves all different campiagns also most of what you siad was over my head can you make it any simpler.

You'll lose your save games anyway for vanilla. They dont work with RS2.

As for what century ybbon wrote,

You need to CREATE a folder in your C drive called games. In THAT folder, create another folder called RS2.

Delete and uninstall RTW from your computer, delete whats left in the folder, then reinstall RTW to the games/RS2 folder you made a minute ago.

Then install BI if you have it, and make sure its all patched.

Then follow the install instructions in the release thread to download (skip this if you still have all the files) and copy over your rtw install in C:\Games\RS2

Then it should be installed.
