    Default How can i change units to be proffesional?

    For example if i wanted to make peasant crossbowmen late proffesionals that take 3 turns to recruit, how would i do it?

    Well, it's not enough to just make them take 3 turns to recruit. Late Professionals also have good morale and discipline stats due to their training, and they're almost always Superior or above, which results in higher melee and ranged stats and shorter attack delays. And they also have bigger units.

    You can follow the RC guide in order to change the stats, but if all you want to do is make them take 3 turns to recruit, go to D:\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data --> export_descr_unit and find the Peasant Crossbowmen in there.

    Then find this line in their entry:

    stat_cost 1, 80, 80, 65, 50, 80, 4, 50


    And change the 1 to 3.

    Then save the file. The change is savegame compatible, but it might take one or two turns to kick in.
