    Default Your funniest mistake?

What is your dunniest m2tw mistake. Mine is probably when I sent a fleet to capture Cyprus, but it was full of heretics and a venetian Cardinal that I was depending on to become pope since I had no Preferati of my own(I'm allied with them). So I landed and forgot that if a character has nowhere to go, they die. and I kinda landed on the Cardinal's tile and...oops.

Invading the northern Europe as Castille(SS mod). I left Iberia unprotected and Portugal took everything from me in just 5 turns!

I was defending a siege and did not see the enemy ladders at the far right of the battlefield. They climbed the walls unhindered, climbed down on the inside, and killed my general while i was checking out the action elsewhere.

I was depressed for two days after that.

Misplacing all of my troops by missing the rebels, which left Nuremburg unprotected. Then Poland (whom I had a Outstanding relationship with) takes Nuremburg and kills the populance... D:

I drop clangers all the time Usually forgetting whats what and where I''ve left stuff. My cunning invasion plans scuppered when I forgot the boat carrying my mighty invasion stack..pounced on by pirates and sent swiftly to the bottom.

    Gutted.

Once as England I had my longbowmen set up stakes just because I didn't want to waste the ability. I was attacking and therefore had no reason or use for the stakes anyway. I'm sure you can all guess what happened next: I lose a family member and a unit of heavy cavalry because I simply forgot where I put the stupid and useless stakes.

Lol stakes arent useless, well not defensively. Also I made a worse mistake than the one today, I was in a valley in turkey fighting off waves of timurids one stack at a time, on my third timurid stack I set up my defensive position as usual, except I forgot to position my family member on the hill where I set up a defensive position, unstead he was stuck in the valley, to make it worse, this was the only stack with elephants. I won BTW but I lost that family member. He had 8 command stars 7 chivalry and 9 piety, full loyalty and was married to my princess.

I set up my defencive position playing as England facing off against 4 Mongol horde's at once my army being 3/4 gold chevron heavy cavalry with upgraded weapon and armor id picked a nice hillside position so my few longbows could have the best impact i placed stake's then launched my charge.
First 2 wave's no problem i butchered both horde's en masse but my men have got exhausted so i ordered them to fall back and set my bowmen to fire.
Im sure u can guess whats next i forgot id placed stake's huge elite heavy cavalry force was reduced to a large bunch of very weak units in a flash luckily all the units had 7-8 men left so i could retrain and i still won the fight mostly due to the morale loss of watching there allies run for the hills and huge wave's of arrows .
I am the shadow, and the smoke in your eyes I am the ghost, that hides in the night.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
    we shall fight in the hills;
    we shall never surrender.

    " The dark is generous.
Its first gift is concealment: our true faces lie in the dark beneath our skins, our true hearts remain shadowed deeper still. But the greatest concealment lies not in protecting our secret truths, but in hiding from the truths of others.
The dark protects us from what we dare not know.
Its second gift is comforting illusion: the ease of gentle dreams in night’s embrace, the beauty that imagination brings to what would repel in the day’s harsh light. But the greatest of its comforts is the illusion that dark is temporary: that every night brings a new day. Because it’s the day that is temporary.
    Day is the illusion.
Its third gift is the light itself: as days are defined by the nights that divide them, as stars are defined by the infinite black through which they wheel, the dark embraces the light, and brings it forth from the center of its own self.
With each victory of the light, it is the dark that wins.

The dark is generous, and it is patient.
It is the dark that seeds cruelty into justice, that drips contempt into compassion, that poisons love with grains of doubt.
The dark can be patient, because the slightest drop of rain will cause those seeds to sprout.
The rain will come, and the seeds will sprout, for the dark is the soil in which they grow, and it is the clouds above them, and it waits behind the star that gives them light.
    The dark’s patience is infinite.
    Eventually, even stars burn out.

The dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins.
It always wins because it is everywhere.
It is in the wood that burns in your hearth, and in the kettle on the fire; it is under your chair and under your table and under the sheets on your bed. Walk in the midday sun, and the dark is with you, attached to the soles of your feet.
The brightest light casts the darkest shadow.

The dark is generous and it is patient and it always wins – but in the heart of its strength lies its weakness: one lone candle is enough to hold it back.
Love is more than a candle.
    Love can ignite the stars."

Went to break a siege on a poorly defended city at the edge of my army's range, after making sure that was the general who hated those guys. Failed to realize at first that because I had been looking at the general, it was just him selected; not his whole army he was leading. Get all the way to the attack having ordered just the general to move... Couldn't retreat with no movement points left. <facepalm>
