My strategy for Timurids (Citadel)

Altough this is common for most of you,for some it is simply not..

So i didn't have any experience in fighting Timurids with elephants and horse archers and stuff.I did not expect they will attack me (i was playing as Russia)...I had one full stack at Kiev,i had 4 tsars guard,4 general's bodyguards,4 dismounted dvor,4 dismounted boyar sons,and 4 dvor cavalry..i had cannon towers(big advantage,u must have it) , So i got attacked by Timur the Pious himself,i put ALL my cavalry into the final ring(where the plaza is) and dismounted dvor archers on the walls of the final ring,4 heavy infantry near the entrance of the final ring(where the gate is)so,the Timurids did not even breach into the first ring,i killed Timur the Pious (altough the tower did) , so , i waited the bas***** come ,they were decimated by my towers,i killed most of their cavalry with my heavy infantry,untill they got PWNed by the elephants,i ordered a charge by my cavalry and they begun to run amok,so i chased them down and achieved a Heroic one.

mmm This is a pretty good one but you could have just not sallied out and simply stayed in and sallied outbut just used your towers to do all the work for you. Also my one is that there is a little valley in turkey where they HAVE to cross to get to Russia, if you manage to get in and block it before they do with whatever faction(I use England usually since I usually have most of the holy lands) You can make sure you only face one stack at a time, there is also a good hill that kinda looks like a ramp, its flanked by rock and very steep so you could use that to unless they pull a cannon elephant, the Longbow stakes are also incredibly helpful.

And wth,they did spawn north of Turkey,into Bulgar territory,yes yes i thought they were supposed to go south of Turkey,as the Mongols took 1/2 of Turkey, they spawned north of the mountains that separate Turkey and Russia ,you know what i mean..but ,they spawned there,so after my victory of Kiev they attacked me with more stacks and Kiev fell,so i quited that campaign -.-
