i think i'm about to have a hernia :/

righty ho, been fiddling for the past 3 days trying to get this rather amazing yet silly mod working, i have managed to get it downloaded, installed but then i got the kingdoms.exe error which is a blight upon half the people on this forum, managed to sort of fix it though by slightly altering the directory, but now when i run it i get the m2tw opening screen then it crashes. i'm using the 5 part download from mw2xboxplayer. i used to use the torrent from red dwarf and it worked for a while then when i tried to fix its abundant CTD's i made it worse and when i reinstalled i havnt been able to get it working at all since.
anyways, cheers for the help so far chaps, my head is sore from the amount of times ive banged it against the wall, this is my last hurrah then im going to give up fully, which i dont want to do because what i played of it is brilliant.

P.S. i havnt been able to update my kingdoms, the patch is incredibly hormonal, it wont allow me to update from 1.4 to 1.5 so ive been trying to run it on the 1.4. i managed to run tatw on 1.4 so i didnt think it would be that big a deal here

Loads of reasons for a crash on splash screen, most common would be an error in modeldb. A log will help.
