They have sold out really quickly in the uk (e.g amazon sold out in ~2 minutes!) and I gather it has been similar in Australia and the US.

I should be taking delivery of one tomorrow, fingers crossed it actually arrives!

For ~£100 these were outstanding value, if mine arrives I will let youvknow what I think.

No, see my thread here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=476846

They are now going for triple the price on ebay. Greedy pricks. And amazingly, people appear to be buying them. A dead OS. I wouldn't pay much more than $100 considering that.

Got a 32Gig model from work, one of the few perks of working in retail. I am not to concerned about Web OS since there are many people already working on porting over android to the tablet anyway.

I have absolutely no idea why they removed the ability to list what country you are in on this forum...but if you happen to be in the US, please keep an eye out for us as you work in retail. HP is supposed to be releasing more very soon.

Android port is on it's way, but the webos was well liked by reviewers of the touchpad, and I imagine I may be happy with that.

Judging by how I use my iphone, I don't think I am bothered by how big the app Market is etc. I will use it for web browsing, email and photos -don't need any apps for that.

It has been marked as dispatched - I am getting very nervous with anticipation!

UK im afraid and the place I work in is Staples we have basically been told that the stock we had is all gone and not to expect any more. We had around 800 units across the two SKU's across all the stores and they all went within 20 mins of opening. Total chaos on the phones that day, glad I wasn't working lol.

Your best bet is to probably grab one on ebay even if it costs you a bit more, even at £200/$200 is still a good deal, sadly opertunists who bought like 10 units ruined it for everyone.

I was lucky to end up with two of the 32gb models (I am uk based as well barnaby!). I reserved one at Argos last Monday, but was told that it was out of stock, so assumed it wouldn't come through. I then ordered one at full price on Tuesday with the assumption that I would get refunded the difference (I was), and fortunately both orders came through.

So had them for about a week and I am very impressed so far. They play media well, can stream from iplayer and 4od well, and are very nice for browsing the web. I think they are ips screens, so are nicer quality than my monitor or tv and means that they will double up nicely as digital photo frames. Very nice for web browsing on the couch/ in bed or at the breakfast table, and I can see them being great for plane and train journeys.

I wasn't looking for a tablet, and I think at £400 they are a bit frivolous considering I have several computers/ laptops/ netbooks and an iPhone. At~£100 they were an absolute steal, and I can see them converting me to tablet use, e.g I could imagine buying and improved version in a few years.
