The History of Middle-earth, Vol XII: The Peoples of Middle-earth.
I could give a short summary this afternoon, I'm somewhat in a hurry right now.
I would rather have a memory that is fair but unfinished than one that goes on to a grievous end.
The Professor started, some time after 'The Lord of the Rings' was published, to write a story about a Dark Cult, worshipping the Dark, that was rising some time during the reign of Elessar Enviyatar Telcontar's son Eldarion in the year 105 F.A.
The draft is about a conversation between Borlas of Pen-arduin, son of Bergil, son of Beregon of the Guard, Captain of the White Company and a certain Saelon, a young man. But some time after the defeat of the Dark Lord, boys began playing "being Orcs", pulling down unripe apples to throw them away, hew down trees to let them rot. The hearts of Men do not find comfort in peace. "Deep indeed run the roots of evil and the black sap is strong in them. That tree will never be slain. Let men hew it as often as they may, it will thrust up shoots again as soon as they turn aside. Not even at the Feast of Felling should the axe be hung up on the wall!" as Borlas put it.
Borlas and Saelon are talking about the mischief that Saelon did when being a young boy, and the difference in hewing a tree or picking its fruits for fire or food or for the lust on destruction. The talk ultimately leads to an ominous person called Herumor and a secret cult, plotting against the King.
The story ends here. Nothing more is told about the origin of Herumor or this cult, their aims etc. The Professor did not continue from this point, since he realized that the story will end in a political thriller, what he disliked and found it "not worth doing".
The Fourth Age: Total War continues the story after this point: Herumor, the Lord Black rose to great power and allured the King's brother Amandil and a civil war began. At the end of the day, Amandil and his allies, indoctrinated by Herumor (who is thought to be a servant of Sauron, possibly the Mouth) and having gained a foothold in the eastern provinces of Gondor, declared the Kingdom of Adūnabār, which is Adūnaic and means "Power of the West" to be founded.

Actually it means "Power of the West" which makes a bit more sense, considering its goal is to become the foremost power of Western Middle-earth
"Power of the East" would be Azūlabar.
Seceded you mean, and yes. Sauron is indisputably vanquished by this mod's timeframe- the new, lesser "dark lord" is one of Sauron's acolytes, who the FA:TW team has conjectured to be The Mouth of Sauron (Whose ultimate fate was left undisclosed by the end of the Lord of the Rings series).
Thanks Man! I wish I had the history of Middle earth. It is too expensive.
So Adunabar is Gondorian territory that seceded? I thought with the Ring, Sauron was finally destroyed?

It's all political![]()
...I thought the Mouth of Sauron was killed at the black gate. Or was that just part of the movie?
Things I trust more than American conservatives:
Drinks from Bill Cosby, Flint Michigan tap water, Plane rides from Al Qaeda, Anything on the menu at Chipotle, Medical procedures from Mengele
Will Andunabar have units with Numenorian names?
