It's still pretty popular, this forum is proof

In my opinion, there hasn't been a good TW game since Medieval 2, so what option do I have?
But seriously, it's clearly the best game in the series

If you haven't played Rome, I'd suggest you also play that. It is an amazing game. Judging by your love of the Danes, you'd probably like Germania the best. The Romans and Greeks are also melee-focused, but in a more defensive manner.

We've had an influx of new people, welcome to the board, as stated earlier, the mods are constantly being made, and the people on the site are all quite nice. Also, we have aars and all that as well as forum games like who am I and faction wars. Irishron is our local tech dude and can generally help you with any problems, and there are many guides for factions. Once again welcome!

    @ The OP (Bozzy73UK)

For me, Medieval 2 will always be a mainstay as the greatest TW game created - not only for the initial vanilla but for the subsequent mods that have sprung up around it.

I'll always have it installed and will return to it for the majority of my spare time - especially since it proves awesome inspiration for AAR's.

Also what part of the UK are you from fella?

Since you have kingdoms check out SS(stainless steel)
Anyway, most mods are mod foldered( they have their own folder) And unless you have steam are extremely easy to install. They add many new elements to the game, sometime they create
Their own worlds, like thera or third age. They also add units fix bugs and make the AI better. There is a mod out their for everyone, and someone is always making more.

How did you come across the site?
