v5.3, whats happened to the battle screen?

I noticed with the latest release that the formats changed. The camera can be changed back to RTS but the speed slider dosent appear to be resetable. Also, is there supposed to be no sound?

I forgot to turn it on in the preferences, if enabling it in the options in game still doesn't work, open up "preferences.txt" in "...Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\bi\preferences" change

ENABLE_AUDIO:FALSE  to TRUE
ENABLE_MUSIC:FALSE  to TRUE

how do you get the battle screen back to the original look and feel? after installing v5.3, the controls, shield wall, etc are hidden and drop down from the top.....how do you get them back on the bottom of the screen? Thanks!

In your preferences file change :

Minimal_UI: True, to Minimal_UI False

in the next version I won't add a preferences file by default, and maybe use the -mod switch if its possible

Hi, are you refering to this?

To be able to have the speed icons go in the preferences text file in the BI folder and change MINIMAL_UI:TRUE into MINIMAL_UI:FALSE.

well I did that, but still dont working

will send u an .exe file to replace your current preferences with vanilla one :wink:

Here is the .exe file inside the .zip (TWC only allows .zip or .txt), click on it and it'll automatically detect your settings and install the default CA preferences.txt
