Bomb Explodes at Toronto Tim Hortons

There were unconfirmed reports that a man went into the bathroom with explosives strapped to him. This is scary, as I get coffee from Timmies all the time.

    Edit:

FYI for those of you who do not live in Canada, Tim Hortons is a franchised coffee chain with hundreds of locations across the country (kinda like starbucks, but better)

true but a lil over a year ago one of my freinds stationed in germany said that most of the population WANTED to go to war. the younger ones anyway. and a few of them said that one of the german special forces told him and i quote " if those bastard bomb us and kill our innocents we'll go in and annihilate an entire city to show them the meaning of the word war" unquote. i have no idea which branch of the special forces told him that but my friend said he said it without any hesitation and meant it. wow. weak kneed no. democratic maybe. remember germans come from a bloodlusting warrior race. you can't fight genetics.

p.s. please don't flame me i cleaned up the language as much as i could. i meant no offense. i merely just repeated what my friend told me. don't shoot the messenger. also my friend is injured in germany and i can't tell you his unit name .

Too true. And Russia is already dealing with them in Chechnya.

exactly we wouldnt pee our pants just because of a bomb in germany. we lived with the RAF (red army fraction, not royal airforce which was in the 40s lol) in the 70s and the islamists have to drop a lot of bombs to worry us big time.
on the other hand i would like some bombs exploding in germany, maybe the stupid population would wake up than and do something about the turkish and arabian parasites who corrupt us and suck us dry like ticks.
schools get closed in germany because of crime from arab and turkish pupils and ppl blame the government for failing to integrate them. and they? they say germany would be nothing without them..they who come into out country receive social services, free education etc. and how do they thank us? by making fun of us and exploiting us.aaaaaaargh i hate it. i know not all but an significant part of them :argh

Yes that sums up the feelings of the German military at least. There is a little known incident after 9/11 where a US task force was sailing to the Persian Gulf. A bunch of German vessels were conducting exercises, and weren't supposed to break formation. The German frigate FGS Niedersachsen pulled out of formation and all the crew lined up on the starboard side, facing the American missile frigate USS Doyle. As Niedersachsen pulled alongside, the crew gave a hand salute, and as one they removed their covers and placed them over their hearts as the two ships paralleled each other at 100 yards. Niedersachsen slowed and matched speed with Doyle, giving the American crew an opportunity see the United States flag flying from the German yardarm. Then, with another blast of the police whistle Doyle’s crew returned the Niedersachsen’s salute. As Doyle’s crew dropped their salute Niedersachsen increased speed and turned to resume their station in the formation.

They got  at by higher-ups later on, but I found it a very moving gesture. As you said, many of my former Army buddies have reported the same sort of sentiment among the German military, and among most European militaries. Its their douchebag governments and pacifistic idiot populations that refuse to acknowledge the obvious.

my friends all told me that the german guys wished that they too could be in iraq and afghanistan at full strength because they wanted to fight alongside us... in case many of you don't know the german and the US have very good relations military-wise like the japanese and the US.we get along with their soldiers fine. in afghanistan when my unit needed to take a few weeks to recover from a few skirmishes alot of german military guys stopped by to talk and act as translators for when we went out. all they would talk about was how they really wished they could be out there with us and that we're doin a good job. sure their english was not that great but just by the look in their eyes they seemed almost jealous that we were having "all the fun". right. all the stories we told them would get them all excited and they growl and clench their fist. like they were there too... lol it was kinda cute. but yea they are really good guys i kinda feel sorry for them. :hcry

edit: p.s. those guys cam and hung out with us every other day. on the last day thier leuitenant i think came too. it was kinda flattering.
