There is a problem with my beloved Scottish rebels. Almost every second battle ends in CTD. I tried all other factions and they look free of this plague. I inspected log file and I found only these error entries.
[game.script] [error] Trigger processing error in <devastation_cav_living_on_land>
: PercentageUnitCategory needs a living character with an army.
[system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit

Those "Percentage" errors are meaningless. I will do some testing into the Scottish and try to rack down the problem causing the unspecified error and I'll message you when I have something.

Q: Is the game crashing when the battles are done or going into them?

When going into battle. And I found one more issue while playing for Danes. While taking the last settlement of Barons' faction (when it turned into English faction after eliminating original English faction) battle ends in CTD no matter if it's played in automatic or manual mode.

Okay, I can't replicate the Scotland crashes and the scripts to convert the BA to England haven't been implemented yet--That's a project we're working on for 1.8. It's starting to sound like you have a corrupt save game or installation.

Downloaded & installed 1.7 a few days ago.

A very impressive piece of work.

It looks well & plays well.

I am finding it very immersive.

That is a good sign.

I particularly like the love & attention you have given to Ireland.

Im really upset by this since my lady friend had the easiest time downloading from Megaupload, and it seems thats what most folks use to host mods

Nah, go find another site to host the mod, preferable soon before Ze Reich kills more sites. Megaupload was taken down for piracy laws and whatnot. Isnt there a site just for mod downloading that wouldnt be under threat from das federales?

Try a European filesharing site, the Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Digital Affairs is out against SOPA and describes anti-piracy legislation as "a waste of money".

Very little chance that EU law will change on the matter...
