That is a mod, I admire. Unique setup, superb artists.
I especially like the details you put into the units, like the helmets of type Negau.

    fantastic work.
i really like the god "sabo/sancus" in the shield of sabines. this demostrate the professionality of this team, another historically accurate work.
just a little thing.... sabines were the best archers of the central italy after the "hernici". but they used bows more little than other populations, and short and heavy arrows. probably they hold the bow horizontally. but i don't know if it's possible to make this.
but this is a little thing...

    great work guys.
    thanks.

Another great preview, good work team.

I did'nt realise there had been such a diverse range of tribes within the Italian peninsula. The struggle between them for dominance must I suppose have greatly influenced the Roman ethos of warriorhood which shaped their attitude to the world and subsequently gave rise to the development of an empire.

It affected their fighting style for sure - pulling them away from the greek style phalanx, but the their conflict with carthage is what probably spurred them onto becoming a great empire. We can only guess tho.

    sweeet...this'll be awesome...now my question:

forgive me if this is stupid for asking you(any of "you"), but will the phalanx be the overhand type of fighting for the greek cities(or for whoever uses the phalanx)? because the phalanx for the hoplites in vanilla is kinda...messed...and stuff...inaccurate, i guess.
it'd be way better if its the overhand way of fighting, though. y'all should know what i mean, huh?

Where appropriate, I can surmize we'll be using the overhand animation I created here:

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

great job with those skins... very nice and very realistic looking, as with all past previews...

I generally make it a rule not to ask about release dates, but this is really tempting... so... any idea how long still? is there still much to be done (scripts? coding? campaign map? campaign code? gui & 2D art? etc?)?and will there be a N.5 preview? and are there any more factions still to be previewed?

Woa... I know that's quite a few questions, but then again:

Once again another great preview. Im just wondering will you bring in many variations of mercs? that are different to the units you get with each faction? Just to give this mod more variation. Because i have noticed most factions come with slingers, skirmishers, medium and heavy cavarly, heavy and light spearmen and swordsmen. I know this is how it probally was historical. Im ashuming that every faction will have its weakness and strengh with each unit? to make this mod more unique.

So to sum it up, how will you make each factions units unique?

BTW, When I tried to get closeup of the pictures, the site you use tried to download some Dialer.7AdPower spybot onto my computer but my antivirus removed it.

Are you sure Rorarii? ...I used "imageshak" as always ...I have just tested some of the pictures and I didn't find such kind of problem ...may I ask what's the picture that caused the problem you told about?

    Thanks in advance.
