Should I upgrade to 6.4 from 6.3, plus a few other questions?

Some random questions...

Is there a big difference in upgrading to 6.4 from 6.3? I am just rather lazy. What do you think? Worth it? I have heard that it has much slower settlement growth and longer turn times, neither of which sounds very appealing.

Also, can you suggest me a good config with submods for an "enhanced" experience? Something like ReallyBadAI + BGR? Point me to a FAQ for config of submods? I've never used them before but interested in trying out.

Which factions do you like to playing in 6.4?

How the heck to play as Knights Templar? Hotseat?

Pointers to other threads are fine, but telling me to use the search button is not very helpful.

You should update to 6.4 from 6.3 as it contain many bug fixes and refinements over 6.3.

Settlement growth depends on the city and a chivarlrous General is always the best answer, as for turn time it depends on whether you select BGR4 and keep RR enabled and of course your PC.

You should d/l Really Bad AI update and Settlement tweaks, but as for BGR4, you really need to learn the ropes before embarking on BGR4, it adds extra realism and depth, but with more complexity.

What is Settlement tweaks? Is that a submod? Is submod installation pretty straightforward, say for RBA?

Which factions do you like playing the most in 6.4? Which combo of difficulty, mods, and unit size?

I've just never played through a 6.3 campaign to completion. I kind of want to do this, yet I also want to upgrade soon. I think I have load-itis, where I am constantly loading save games back to get better position, avoid ambushes, fight battles better, etc. I need to just power through like 100 turns and see where I stand.

Na it is more a case of "play old versions, get hit by a monstrous bug, report it, then be told it can't be fixed and you should upgrade". I'm just showing shortcuts

Yeah you'll never have a perfect game- if you go back and reload to correct mistakes the future turn or one after that will be different and so on... its more rewarding to suffer through your mistakes and still emerge victorious. Or at least die valiantly.

Just follow G5 instructions, but with RBA install to SEGA/MTW2 folder

As for faction I like smaller ones such as Crusader States, Portugal, Norway & Scotland, but I also like Poland, a excellent central position and an attractive roster.

I play on H/H, large unit size and use Savage AI, RR Enabled, Longer Assimiliation, Perm Towers & BGR2
