    Default Domus Triarius

Greetings, welcome to the massive manor that is located in Northern Rome, an ancient manor that had been situated there for over fifty years now. The size of the manor is rather spacious and it's luxuriousness is the talk of Rome.

    Severus Octavius Triarius

    Name: Severus Octavius Triarius

    Age: 35

    Class: Patrician

Personality: Severus by default is an extremely manipulative and conniving man by all means. He will stop at nothing to reach whatever goal he attempting to attain utilizing the most underhanded and dirtiest tricks to get his way no matter who he has to step on his way up the ladder. However that is his politics, he was a former Legionnaire in his own right and still carries about the aura of a high commanding officer, very much like his father and his ancestors who were distinguished generals. Severus chose to become a senator to avoid the senseless bloodshed and to become the catalyst of bloodshed instead whilst gaining power and glory on the way with nothing stopping him. In essence he is extremely manipulative in his methods and is quite infamous for his silver tongue, as he is quite known as an outstanding negotiator and debater, twisting words and relying heavily on using people's words against them whilst manipulating words and using wordplay to get his point across, a true serpentine creature.

Being raised as a Patrician, Severus is used to getting whatever he wants on the spot and he still carries this habit till this very day at the age of 35. he also tends to look down upon the plebeians as mindless animals that he can use and abuse to get his way, often than not bullying and manipulating them to his will. One could say that this man does not have a heart, he is often cruel, vicious and downright vile to his enemies, he is also the person that will most likely back stab you in a heartbeat if his position or honor will be compromised. However to those rare few he chooses to associate with, he is fiercely loyal and would actually use his power to get them out of trouble.

Flavius rode to the Villa, and left his horse for the slaves to escort to the stables. He walked hastily to the door of the Domus, and knocked it twice.

Flavius Julius Corvenus is here to speak with your master!

A rather well built, dark slave opened to the door to find Senator Flavius Corvenus at the door standing there, the stable boys ushering his horse towards the stable. The slave led the esteemed senator through quite a well furnished foyer, then through the atrium, down another corridor, all highly furnished with great taste, there was no sound except the echoing of the visitor's sandle and the slave's barefoot pitter patter of his feet. Finally the senator was led into an extremely spacious room. The furnishing was extremely extravagant and extremely well furnished, there in the back center of the room stood an extremely tall male with charming good looks, long blonde hair tied neatly back in a ponytail, a trait highly uncommon in Rome. The man was donned in a purple toga was seated upon a miniature throne, in his left hand a black walking stick with a silver snake head with two jade eyes. Severus Ocatvius Triarius never stoped indulging himself and nothing was ever going to stop that. Upon sighting the senator entering he stood up leaving the two women attending to him with a bowl of red grapes and a fan. "Welcome Senator Flavius to my humble abode, I beseech you to make it your own, as a patrician is always welcome here." His voice was rather high, yet silky smooth tinged with the aura of aristocratic arrogance, a trait that ran in the family. On his left index finger he wore a ring with a ring with the family crest, that same hand was raised loftily to dismiss the slaves. "Begone till I call for you." Severus motioned for the senator to take a seat himself on a a small couch in front of the miniature throne. "Might I delight your senses with some imported wine senator?"

'Well, i said to myself this was suspicious.. and i was right.' Well, i guess wine won't hurt.

He took a goblet from the table, thanking Triarius and sipping from the goblet. 'Definitely Falernian', he thought, taking a better seat on the couch and then looking questionably at the new senator.

If you will excuse my rashness, but i like to get straight to the point. What are your intentions? What are the matters you wished to talk with me?

"Oh senator what is the harm in getting to know my fellow patrician senators, to be quite frank with you my friend, my main and only intention is a good will dinner, nothing more. I simply felt the compulsion to invite some of the senators to my house for a mere dinner just for them to get to know me and my dwelling a bit more as we will be working together henceforth and I just joined so I thought nothing could be healthier than becoming friendlier with the other senators.

OOC: There were no gladiators in that time of Rome, they came hundreds of years later

Flavius sipped from his wine again, 'Well, if i survive the upcoming events a new ally won't hurt.'

I am sorry for my rashness, esteemed senator. Yes, let us enjoy the dinner. If you wish to know anything about me, well, i've got a grand alliance of senators united to strip me of my senatorial rank. He gazed at Severus, he was almost amused.

And in fact, i am merely amused. I've captured three cities, done much great for the Republic, and all they see in me is a madman. A few of them do this only because they have persoal grudges against me, and few do it because they think i'm a threat to their existence. Here we see how corruption spreads withing the Republic. Only few are free from it..

He thought for a moment, of Celsus and of the Order. But quickly he regained his self-composture and looked at Severus.

But please, tell how things are with you.

OOC: Sorry should do more research lol and I edited the previous post deleting all the bit that is unnecessary.

Severus's plan was all falling into plan, he had the senator in the palm of his hand, he had moved from being suspicious to being friendly, perhaps getting to know this man more, he might even be a useful ally. His icy cold, calculating gray eyes scanned the senator as he spoke. Severus was absorbing all the information about the senator whilst appearing interested in his conversation and appearing friendly, however in his mind he was simply analyzing his ally's potential.

Now it was Severus's turn to speak, he needed to impress the patrician to prove his family's name and his own as the newest member of the senate he needed allies. "I senator am a descendant of the long line of the extremely well known Triarius family, mostly known for it's military history I was born and raised to be a soldier and a damn good one at that. I along with my family participated in several campaigns and rose in ranks steadily and now I am settling down in Rome to make a name for myself in the senate however I am new to it all." Severus sipped on his delightful wine as he waited for the senator to respond.

Just as the words escaped his lips a servant walked in and bowed, Severus glared but the look on the servant's face was desperate. Seeing the look on his face Severus beckoned to him to approach. "Dominus, I had just received word that the man you dine with has dishonored the senate and now has a warrant for his arrest." The slave whispered in a barely audible tone all the meanwhile Severus's eyes did not make contact with that of Falvius at the end, Severus merely mumbled, "very well then leave us..." Motioning haughtily to the slave to leave. "My apologies Senator, urgent household calling... please proceed what sort of trouble are you in, tell me, perhaps I could assist you in riding yourself from this nuisance."

Flavius smiled, and sipped from his goblet.

Ah, yes. But do note that i accept no means of help. It would be dishonourable. I will get through this myself, and i will prove my innocence to the people.

What else do we have to discuss then? Your plans of the "great feast" have somewhat reduced to a simple breakfast, which i don't mind as i didn't come to here to eat anyway. Please do tell me if you have any further matters to discuss.

"Actually senator if you were to get up and join me in my personal bathhouse, we will continue discussions there."

Severus was getting rather impatient, this was merely the reason he had invited him here was to test his mind and to see if the words on the streets were true in fact, tonight both accounts have been slightly proven but he needed to sap more information out of him.

Upon entering the bathhouse, several slaves were already heating the water as Severus seated himself by the water's edge with on finger twirling the water absent mindedly whilst a servant nearby pours wine into two goblets.

"In all honesty senator I am mostly interested in your version of the accounts of the accusations held against you, after all if you were ever to be put on trial you need at least one senator on your side, whether your pride allows it or not, or shall your pride be the cause of your demise?"

If you'll excuse my rashness, but as everybody else, i see no reason to tell my version to you. You will hear it in the basilica as everybody else. I do not take pride in being alone.
