    Default [Submod]Hero_Abilities and UI customisations....advice / feedback / practical help needed...

    i've seen you only have 3 cultures subfolders in UI folder... (middle eastern ,northern and southern eu) and all of them without any interface subfolder..

    could someone list me an "official" culture >> factions list ?
    (the one you're going to conclude to in the final release ,even in a general outline..)

    it would greatly help in something i'm working on...
    i could try making some

    -hero abilities ,like faction-specific rally and/or morale boosts
    -custom ,faction-specific battle control buttons...
    -and maybe some other ui customisation

    can't promise i will actually complete everything about it ,but i could provide a well establisehd basis for
    more "lore-experts" than me (i've only read the 4 first novels and just one time)

    so give me a hand to get this finished - uploaded in time cause i won't be having proper internet for a long time ,in a while...

    NE > Stark
    EE > Greyjoy
    SE > Baratheon (all 3), Joffrey, Frey, Tully, Lannister, Tyrell, Arryn.
    ME > Martell

    We actually do have culturual specific UIs, at least we definitely have an SE one, as can be seen in the campaign screenshots of the old Baratheon of Storm's End preview.

    well i just "reinstalled" (as in unziped) the alpha 0.53 and the only interface subfolder is in southern_eu ,culture

    ps... what is NW for ?

    Yeah the UIs are in our version not yours

    so the Martell faction will be based of the muslim factions family tree? (where they dont have princesses and cant have a marriage alliance)

    Are they going to be re-skinned, because although most of them look great, others like the Martell Spearmen look a little corny.

    I said some, not all. And I've never even played them in-game yet. I'm sure they look much better in 3D.

    Don`t worry, i guess that depends on your personal taste. (I, for one, also think that one or two things could be improved, like the Household Guard.)

    I doubt that we`ll work on the Martells much more; At least not for the 1.0 version.

    Lol, I thought the Household Guard was one of the best, but a weapon change would be good.

    i've done quite some work yesterday...i'm only gonna attach a part of it as preview ,as i don't wanna spoil the "surprise" when playing it...
    main concept is

    1...giving quite every starting general a "hero ability" ,that is gonna display his house's symbol (and words in the tooltip) ...
    so this way ALL houses (even the minor ones) are gonna be rappresented in game ,in some way ...

    2... the effects are gonna mainly be of three types....
    a....rally routing units ,for most of the faction leaders
    b....morale boosts or fear (like for example the "direwolf" ability for Robb, that is gonna scare a bit enemy armies)
    c....."special" abilities ,for certain characters ...examples..

    * since in the westeros world quite all generals are "knights" ,meaning riders , "the mountain" is gonna have a stamina + attack boost ,for just 10 secs...
    this way by clicking the ability ,exactly upon impact ,one can simulate his monstrous charge without unballancing the overall battle situation ... just a quick "surgical hit" splashing the poor foes

    there are still 3 culture slots availiable...if i'm not mistaken there can be up to 7 culture folders...so if till now you got...

    1..EE ...ironborn
    2..NE ...starks
    3..ME ...dorne
    4..everybody else...

    maybe there should/could be some differenciation between

    ..."blue" factions (freys ,arryns and tullys)
    and
    .... "yellow-red" factions (lannisters ,joffrey and the baratheons)

    total :6 and there's still one left for eventual submods etc for the targaryens or essos in general

    ps...

    eastern_european doesn't work for my greyjoys...i've made a new folder in UI, called "eastern_european" but nothing happens...any hints ?

    can't get to see my new buttons , for the greyjoys, ingame...how can someone know for sure which culture does each faction use ? is there any way to also select that ?
