    Default Reskinning?

I am running RTW on a Laptop(not ideal i know)with a 1.74 ghz chip and .99 meg RAM and so far(touch wood)havent found too many issues of frame rates etc with larger unit sizes. However in the quest for better looking units im considering some reskins. Will these reskins have a marked effect due to an increase of detail?im sorry if this sounds a bit simple but im still getting to grips with the amazing things you can actually do to the Game and im not really au fait with what i can and cant do.(plus this is a new laptop so im still getting to grips with it)

It shouldn't have any effect with the same skin size (such as 256 x 256.) If you changed to 512x512 then the texture would require more resources.

just be careful some new sinks have new moldes with more polygons and haveing a lot of them will kill your frame rate , even more so on a laptop

Yes, using higher poly models would be a potential problem. Shouldn't matter though if he's just skinning existing vanilla models or using skins for them (unless they are higher resolution skins of course.)
