Lucius Ameilius Gracchus

Born outside Roma during the Jugurthine war, Lucius grew up in admiration of Gaius Marius. He is the 2nd child of Tiberius Ameilius Gracchus and Claudia. Growing up on small farms that would be inherited by his brother, Lucius was sent to Roma to become a statesman and lawyer. Time has not been kind to the Ameilii, a clan of sabine origin, brought to Roma during the reign of Numa Pompilius. Young Lucius has only 5,000 Denarii to become successful in the harsh world of Roman politics.
The Ameilii are an old and influential patrician family. Even with impeccable blood, the Ameilii have not sat in the Curule chair of the upper magistracies in over 200 years. Things look bleak for the young Lucius, but "Fortes Fortvna Ivvat".
